Ford was averaging 7yds a carry and only got 9 carries. I know we fell behind and tried to pass our way back but it was working.

Offense is actual ass, but cmon guys Jets and Bengals we will be favored and SHOULD win those games
We aren’t suddenly the worst team in the NFL after a bad loss… it was just a bad loss
The formula hasn’t changed. Win games on defense and special teams. Our offense is what it is at this point: ass. That was also true against the Steelers and we beat a current playoff team anyway

Did Ford get knicked? I don't recall anything and seem to remember him running routes. Him not getting more carries is mystifying. We fell down early, but 2 scores in the early 2nd quarter is far too soon to say the run gets shelved. The 2nd half was never more than 1 score until the reverse fiasco.
I don't think Stefanski is dumb, but I think he makes a lot of dumb decisions where he seems to completely lose the feel of the game. This was going to be an ugly, grind it out game where 3 or 4 yards on a play is a win. Yet, we never ran the ball enough to even try to wear Denver down.

If we dont go down 14-0 in the first we get to run a more conservative offense.
I was begging to lean on Ford on the drive DTR got hurt on. I even text my friends “it’s time for smash mouth football but we all know we’ll come out passing”. Came out passing and the rest is history. I firmly believe the outcome is fl different if we come out running on that drive.

What were the plays following those initial passes on the successful pass 1st drives? None of them were successful runs? Can’t tell me we felt our overall passing game was more successful that running game. My eyes tell me differently. Not sure this metric correlates with true success today. 12 points.
