Week #2 - Texans - The Return of Tyrod

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gonna get called a Woods apologist but given the turnover in personnel and the decision to barely play starters in preseason, I think maybe 4-5 games is the appropriate sample size before passing judgement.

I actually really liked the game plan last week. People just have unrealistic expectations of what is possible against the chiefs

but I would have loved to see more blitzing against this rookie qb. At the same time, when woods gets blamed on a play with an awful DPI or 4 missed tackles it’s just scapegoating an easy target

Couldn't agree more. Nobody wants to say "Browns defenders acted like this win was in the bag early." It's easier to blame the guy you decided you didn't like last year.

I really have no concerns about the offense design/play calling.

Obviously, two more turnovers this week and that can’t happen.

But take away the turnovers and we are moving the ball with ease on a super high percentage of drives both weeks.

And today doing that without OBJ and Landry for most of the game.

Think it will probably take longer than that with the injuries, new guys, and young guys.

He's an easy target but this defense had way less time to jell as a unit in comparison to the offense. By the end of the season we should have a clear picture if can turn this into a playoff caliber defense.

Through 2 games, Baker is averaging over 10 ypa. Way too many turnovers so far but I feel like we're ready to open up the passing game and let him cook.

Defense could be tough to watch for another 5-6 games, but I agree that passing judgment before then is just premature. Lots of youth, lots of setbacks/injuries. Newsome will be up and down. JOK's learning curve. Secondary is most definitely a work in progress.

The one thing I'll aim at Woods is not taking advantage of Myles being double-teamed all the time. Can't let teams get away with that.

A win is a win is a win. I'll take 12 ugly ones every time if that's what it takes.

Same is true in women....3 ugly ones is allot more fun than 1 good looking one.
