Week 4: Browns @ Cowboys

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seriously need to have an open tryout for Sendejo's spot.

There has to someone... this is ridiculous.

He really didnt have a bad game, he should of had that pick, but the extreme prevent defense is what caused the 4th quarter and him to look bad. He had some decent pass defenses in the first half, sure he didnt make any stops in the running game until they got 10 yards, but he is a safety. I am not saying he is the answer, he is a stop gap, but he really wasnt awful this week.

Last time the Browns beat the Cowboys I was at the game in Texas sitting between Lou Groza and Jim Houston.

I met Lou once, super nice guy, was he a family friend or anything like that? Probably the 2nd greatest Brown of all time.

I have a bad feeling for a few reasons

The color rush jerseys in our first game in Dallas in a while and not going with one of the traditional jerseys is a bad idea

Baker might be reading the press clippings and may try to force the ball to OBJ and Landry and try to air it out and force their breakout game that they’ve talked about all week

Going awa from the running game to get the passing game going is a fear I have for this game

Hopefully I’m wrong and we whoop their ass today

Spot on....thx for starting the game thread (maybe we can start getting em up earlier with the nice start and the weekly Rona turmoil)

I don't know man he also had the play earlier on that Amari Cooper touchdown where he got caught between going for the ball or the knockout blow and missed on both.

I don't blame him on the first TD. He get left covering two men because someone blew their coverage.

How soon until fans start a gofundme for his fine from the NFL for criticizing officials?

He's right.

The cowboys had at least two false starts near the end when they went hurry up that they just totally missed.

Stefanski is the absolute best game manager we have had since I have started watching the Browns

week in and week out he has been flawless imo. That last drive to not only come away with points but also run out the clock? Outstanding. Compare that to last year when we similarly had the Seahawks on the ropes, Freddie is out there running tempo with 2 minutes left in Seahawks territory already with a lead looking to add more

Baker throws a back breaking pick, Seattle scores to end the half, and all momentum was gone

after the game Freddie said he wanted to score TWICE before the end of the half and that’s why he was running a hurry up when time was not at all an issue. The dumbest fucking reason and for my money the series of events that led to us losing that game

so often watching the Browns the last decade+ I’ve said “how do they continue to make these idiotic decisions, how is this not common sense?!”
And it looks like Stefanski has that ever elusive common sense

my other thought from the first half is I fucking LOVE the identity of this team. Hilliard and Johnson have ran well please don’t get me wrong, but even on Chubb’s 21 yard run I think @natedagg could have gotten a 12 yard scamper. We are physically imposing our will on this team. Absolutely MAULING them up front and just doing whatever we want on the ground

164 rushing yards in a half? A half we scored THIRTY ONE points? Yeah sign me The FUCK up here

also the conversion of turnovers to TOUCHDOWNS is just a thing of beauty.Huge reason we are scoring with the best in the league. 3 straight 30 point games, when the hell was the last time that happened?!?
Freddie was terrible. The moment he left the room, our OC threw the playbook in the trash. Or something like that. Don’t forget how disfunctional that is. And funny.

Stefanski has uncommon sense. It’s fantastic. I still didn’t watch the game bc I took down my grow boxes, harvested the last of the herbs, put support beams on my kids’ new treehouse, talked business with a friend, and slow cooked chicken thighs while I made a fire, but still. Our coach is above average, and that’s a massive change, and he is STILL so virginal.

We had 300 yards rushing! At one point I intercepted the Browns’ frequency and sent the plays to Dallas, you know just to see, and we still shat on them.
I feel like OBJ gets some deserved vindication with that run: he says he just wants to win and then he made that happen.
Garrett with a casual 2 sacks, 1 TFL. No big deal, just another day of dominance.
And the biggest thing? Hunt on the injury report, Chubb not normal, and what happens? We just win. No excuses. On the road? Who cares.
that was a big game. 3-1 and in 3rd place in the division. Monster momentum game bc we should have beaten Cinci and WFC but any other browns team would have dropped this game on purpose for 100 reasons.
very excited. Just wish I bet Mr Yellow this year.

You know it was a game where our stars stepped up. OBJ was awesome, Garret with the third consecutive strip sack, Chubb/Hunt punishing, then the O-line opening the field for the other runners, Ward sealing the game. And Baker, while not awesome per se, threw no picks and got the ball to the playmakers.. You couldn't write fiction better than that..

In reality, we need to fix the passing defense. We can kill the run, but we can't stop the pass.. Which is what most teams do.. Scoring 49 points helps.. and I think we have improved each week.. But you need some defense to hold the lead..

Any Chubb news yet...?
