Week 4: Ravens @ Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
At least it’s happening right before the early bye.

Get that shoulder right for SF.
Problem is the SF game is like 1/10th as important as this one.

Lose against the ravens and we are in a bad spot for the division

I’d have to think he’s not playing against SF either to give him 3+ weeks to heal
It’s too early to say but if we win this game and BAL or PIT lose next week there’s reasoning to sit him against SF too.

Still not anything to be tripping about though.

Fully unleash DTR; go down blazing don’t pull any conservative noise. Let him try to rip it.
I kinda think we have to

The running game has been as ineffective as they come since Chubb went down outside of a single run.

Normally this would be a game Chubb could win us. We don’t have that cheat code anymore. DTR is gonna need to play well or the defense needs to pitch a shutout. Jerome Ford and Gadget Man won’t get it done

If this was Baltimore on the ROAD we would probably be fucked and anyone saying otherwise is honestly probably just Los who thinks we are the #1 team in the NFL every year

Baltimore at home we can manage but the game just got needlessly harder and MUCH more volatile

22-5 Ravens

Watson struggles terribly after a week of no throwing and goes out late in the 3rd after a cheap shot by the Ravens. The defense is pretty stout until the 4th when exhaustion sets in after being on the field all day chasing Lamar.
Adjusted:

43-11 Browns

DTR explodes in his debut, doing to the Ravens what Lamar has been doing to everyone else for years. Defense absolutely dominates, with Lamar giving Myles the high five this time after his 3rd sack. The crowd chants 'DTR' so loudly, the team declares after the game that renovations will begin immediately due to structural damage.

Would be pretty ironic for the offense with a rookie QB to go out there and score 27 or something and this be the first game the defense looks lost.

Actually I’m gonna throw some money on Gadget Man over on receptions now

Expecting a 12 catch 19 yard game
My one true hope is they knew all week this was 100% the outcome and gameplanned everything around DTR getting the start.

If not, then we'd understand why such a shitty game was called by Kevin.

If there is a silver lining...

DTR took all the reps in practice this week. So there's basically no way he could be more prepared for a spot start than he right now. It's not like Watson got hurt in warmups.

Watching highlights from UCLA DTR was pretty accurate 30-35 yards down the field with good vision moving away from pressure. If the Browns need a 55 yard Hail Mary throw he probably isn't it.

Only 12 WRs in 2023 are averaging 30+ air yards per reception so far in 2023. Only four of those 12 (Christian Watson, Tee Higgins, Marvin Mims and DJ Chark) have 100+ receiving yards through three games. Watsons average air yards/completion (including WR, TE, RBs and Harrison Bryant) is 15.3 yards and air yards/attempt is under 9.8 yards.
