Welcome Amari Cooper

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Amari Cooper is always open.

Getting ready for the Insta post if we plan on having Baker throwing towards him next year

If we use our 1st round pick on a WR, I will view Cooper as a bridge #1 WR until our 1st round pick WR develops into a #1 WR. It's extremely rare for a rookie WR to come out of the gate and be a #1 WR. Their 2nd or 3rd year is when they transition to being a true #1 which lines up with Coopers contract and age.
Pretty much the same way the Cowboys did with CeeDee Lamb and Amari ...

Why? Most teams have two good WRs. Some have three. Cooper will only be a bridge in that he'll be 28 heading into next season.

By bridge I meant more that he hopefully can keep the WR production high enough to consistently win instead of taking the lumps of drafting a WR that isn't ready to be a #1 yet. Cooper may slot down to be our #2 WR in year 2 or 3 and still help us win, that's a scenario to hope for.

I think Cooper will be good enough as our #1 WR for 1 or 2 years but I doubt he is going to suddenly break out to another level with the Browns. He is a known commodity but isn't a top 15 WR. I don't think he is a player that we won't desire an upgrade from and that's why I think we will still draft a WR with our 1st round pick.

This signing has Kenny Britt and Dwayne Bowe written all over it. More former pro bowlers, former first round draft picks who saw their performance slip and then ended up in Cleveland....doing nothing.

But...its *not* a signing...

By all accounts, Cooper is very much like Chubb…soft spoken, intelligent, leads by example.

I won’t even pretend that I knew this. I’m not sure when or where, but I always expected Cooper to be a big diva.

I didn’t know it either until this week. Locked On Browns had one of the guys that covers the Cowboys on recently to talk about the trade and he described Cooper as quiet and well-liked by teammates, and said he’d often be playing chess with teammates in the locker room.

It’s insane to me. I swear on my life during the end of his Raiders stint there was a lot about him being a massive headache, and I just don’t get it now.
