Drummond could be , but has not been , better than Adams. It really all hinges on who he wants to be. He is only 25. There are at least five years in him if he wants it.Drummond and Adams are similar players, although Drummond has averaged 15, 14 and 2 throughout his career, while Adams has averaged 10, 8 and 1. Adams is meaner and more of an enforcer type.
My contention is that Drummond is worth $90 million for 4 years or $110 million for 5 years in today’s market, which is similar to what Adams received per year, once the $29 million option year is factored in.
But it sounds as if he’ll pick up his option.
