Welcome Luke Travers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two areas to watch for Travers in upcoming games:

1. He definitely passed up wide open threes. I'm sure he noticed the crowd react to some bad misses from other players. I. Mobley got heckled for an airball, I'm sure Luke was worried. That's going to catch up to him eventually. He needs to at least attempt the wide open threes. It is going to break the confidence of his teammates eventually.

2. His off ball defense was incredible, but he was also caught looking when the ball went in the air. One reason E. Mobley is just a force is his ability to contest then immediately find where the rebound will go. I'd like to see Travers work on the defensive rebound positioning.

I can understand why we are pretty charged by Luke's unexpected performance, but..

I don't see a super athletic guy. He is graceful, similar to Del Curry, and does a lot of useful unexpected stuff.

The blocks were not so much super athletic as just recognizing where the ball was going to go, and getting there first..

He looks young and his body so he might go in to it a little bit . But if you could somehow put Luke in silla's body Thank you might have Kevin Garnett

2nd Team All Hair behind Sexton.

He is balding under the curtains. It's an illusion. But a reverse Mohawk would do good to his image.

Or just rock an Aussie Skullet and get a scorpion tattoo on the top of his head. There's been worse haircuts in wine & gold.

He reminds me of Varejao. Gangly and a little awkward but very fluid and nimble. That steal was athletic even if it looked odd.

Not a leaper, but he is much faster with the ball than I would have expected. Looked much better than in his highlight as far as handling to me.

Yeah it's his anticipation and ability to break up actions that are amazing. Also, interesting that these guys thought they could go right past him and he was ready.

Good points, both true. Luke also gambled himself waaay out of position several times on defense. But that's something he'll learn to avoid.

He obviously has a knack for anticipating where the ball is going to go, much like Ricky.

I don't think his body is NBA ready. He is too loose in the core.. kind of puppy like in his motions. He has the frame for it, and I don't think he needs to go all Arnold or anything. But he needs to tighten it up, which in turn will keep him healthy, and more consistent.. He is still young enough..

What I am wondering is whether he can make the kind of physical progress necessary in the NBL.. I think here, even in G League , he would be more likely to stick to a regimen..

I still see Kurt Rambis. Does all the little things, gets dirty out there.
