deandre jordan if we're talking about blocks? rook looked like a fly swatter out there with confident 3 pt shots and strong drives.

Very reassuring game from Okoro after a pretty brutal stretch that I think is natural for a 19 year old rook being thrown into the fire without having summer league or a full training camp. Played with more confidence, I thought he was terrific defensively especially on Trae (other than the stupid foul), and most importantly, showed some aggression fighting for rebounds. It'll take some time, but I really like his upside...

Definitely a game where you get a glimpse of what he can be. High level glue guy with good assists who can slow down a great scorer.

It is funny when we say,"Needs to get more rebounds" and he gets more rebounds.

I honestly think Okoro has a special kind of focus. He will turn his attention to other things besides defense and do well. He's a guy who does what the coaches say and executes. AS he gets older he will be stronger and can be applied to other scorers.

He and Windler were very good together.

Anyone know how trace did when guarded by okoro? From the tape looked like he shut him down pretty well

I know it's way too early to make any real conclusions on the draft but considering the way Okongwu played last night I would certainly say Okoro, at this point, seems to have been the right pick between those two.

Well Big O should have never been the choice either way.

To me it was between Avdija and Haliburton.

But yeah, he looks undersized and currently is very raw offensively. Can't really find his niche yet.

After watching Josh Hart versus Boston the other day, I think that is a relatively successful alternative pathway for Okoro moving forward and how he can be impactful on defense...

The hope is he can be more than what Hart has been offensively, but Hart has been able to carve out a successful role with his BBIQ and tenacity on defense... Okoro is more physically gifted, but Hart is an example that the pathway exists to be an efficient NBA wing defender with his size...

good thing cavs picked someone more versatile and more advanced in offense and learning curve

He's looking pretty good.

I think defensively the starting lineup looks better with Wade. Just needed some size

man, this bar car was empty only a week ago or so.. just make sure not to take my seat when I need to get up for a piss, I've been here the entire time.
