While I think there is 0% chance it happens, a Lebron-KD combo (even at LBJs age) will probably become the most cohesive & dominant duo in NBA history. LBJ easily fits back into his natural playmaking role and KD will be wide open all day due to the attention LBJ will command. The difference between LBJ & Westbrook is all mental. IMO Russell is an idiot. He consistently makes bad basketball decisions despite his superior athleticism. LBJ would minimize those same situational errors, and both players would thrive. If people dislike Kyrie's ISOs and over-dribbling on this forum I can't imagine what would happen with KD. I honestly think Durant is an overrated player who has one skill that he is arguably the best at: scoring. He is absolutely top-5, but frankly, I don't think his skillset is conducive to winning a championship.
A one-two punch of LeBron-KD reminds me of a slightly supped-up Westbrook-KD. I would do the trade if we don't win it all, but honestly, I don't think it would give us the extra edge needed to beat the Warriors/Spurs. It would improve the team, but not by as much as many make it out to seem.
If you want to throw another block of wood into this dumpster fire, imagine adding CP3 to the mix...
