Yep. I always just joked that it was the kids beer because it was so tiny.Yeah, it's been awhile since I've done it but I think it's a 12 oz can of miller or like an 8 oz draft beer
It's $4 for one free beer.So, it's $ 4 for free beer
...and kids drink beer for free?..this hasn't raised the ire of people whose ire is raised?????
Growing up in an Irish Polish family kids ALWAYS had to pay to drink, it was never free. Uncle charged at least a 6 pack for every case fee.So, it's $ 4 for free beer

LOL! I was a printer's assistant. Mostly I moved paper around. I was 17. I was paid minimum wage: $2.50/hourWorking in downtown in 1973?
Damn....respect.

Close. According to this calculator it'd be $17What is insane if min wage kept up today, that $2.50 min wage would be $19 today.

Unfortunate, but once you own the ticket, you can do what you want with it. It's supply and demand. I have heard many time the G's STH don't get the respect or treatment they deserve. Perhaps things will change with the remodel.I posted about it last offseason, but my best friend has been a multi year season ticket holder for club seats. So, as a result I get to go to as many games as I want basically. (For those of you who havent experienced sitting in the club level, you should splurge once in your life and live it up!) He has been perturbed about the lack of benefits he receives by being a season ticket holder. He compared it to the Cavs who treat you like royalty, compared to the Guardians who haven't even acknowledged your existence.
We were on our way to a game late summer this year, which just so happened to be a bobblehead giveaway and we were talking about one of the perks that STH should have is their own personalize entrance that guarantees them one of the promotional items without needing to show up an hour or more early.
As we were walking around the stadium to enter from the gate behind home plate, we shockingly noticed a sign that read Season Ticket Entrance. We asked the worker there who said they had just brought it back about a week prior on a trial basis. Sure enough, we were able to get the bobblehead promotion that we almost certainly wouldnt have been able to receive had that gate not existed. This was a very nice change in his viewpoint and the first real sign he had noticed that they were trying to please their STH's.
Unfortunately, he's already decided not to renew for another season. He grew tired of seeing comparable tickets all throughout the club level listed for well below face value, game after game. He usually doesnt sell off many games, but the few that he did, he took a significant loss on, and doesnt see the point in buying "discounted season ticket holder seats" if he can buy similar tickets at a larger discount on the open market, and there are no season ticket holder benefits worth the difference in doing so.
Can't say I blame him. Can say I'm upset to be losing my hook up on club seats.

He's still correct that the Cavs treat you better--but Cavs tickets are more expensive, fewer games, a smaller, indoor arena, etc. I think the atmosphere conducts itself to that... but maybe I'm just making excuses as well.
- The Season Ticket Holder entrance has been around for a while. Maybe it went away for a bit--but when I was a STH, it was always the far-right gate when entering through the RF gates. If you're someone who enters through the LF gates, I never saw a STH entrance.
- Again, things may have changed--but when I was a STH, you could reserve any promotional item through Tribe Rewards. I did it many times--they tell you where the stand is to pick up your item, and you just have to get it by the 7th inning.
It's been a while since I've been a STH. Canceled mine when we moved out to the burbs--before COVID. So all of my information might be out of date.Interesting.
There definitely hasn't been a season ticket holder entrance for at least the last 2.5 years, but I cant speak on further back than that. I do know that it's now at one of the two gates behind home plate and that it was only added 2/3 of the way through this season.
I/he had no idea you could reserve a promotional item. If that is still a thing, I take back my critique, BUT it's even more disappointing that he didn't know anything about it.
Unfortunately though, I think that speaks even more on the complete lack of acknowledgement and communication he has received while being a season ticket holder. Being told about a STH only entrance and the ability to collect promotional items seems like something a rep would want to communicate on. Maybe that's an abnormal experience, but based off of what I've heard and read, I'm not so sure. He hears from his rep once a year, and that's to try to upsell him for next season while collecting payment.
I would hope that as the Guardians have worked hard to bring in so many more bodies through the discounted promotions, they also would work on improving their relationship with the lifeblood of their ticket sales revenue stream. I can't imagine that feedback hasnt got back to them at this point, so hopefully they can work on improving that area as well.
