Victor Martinez has no business being a catcher...

Garko is going to play first that's basically pre determined. Marte will be our 3rd basemen soon..or at least next year. Peralta at 2nd or shortstop.

Catcher..eh who knows, I'd love to have Joe Mauer but that'll never happen. I think we're stuck with Victor. Gutierrez should be in left or right next year.

Victors arm is not the problem, he has no clue how to use his feet.

They should move him to first because his bat is so good there is no reason to fatigue him by playing him at first.

uhm Victor is 27...and in catchers years....that's a lot older.

LeBron720 you act like people can just wish for things and acquire it. I'm sure Iverson wishes he was 6'6" so he could dominate the league but it doesn't happen.

You can work on a lot of aspects but arm strength is something your born with or without. Brett Favre has it and Victor Martinez does not.

27 is still young, I would like vic at 1st but like CDT says garko will be playing 1st.so if thats true martinez needs to improve at catcher cuz we cant trade him, unless we can get something good in return of corse.

I am pretty pleased with Victor catching and playing first allowing Ben to bat against lefties and Shoppach to play. I think Victor and the throwing problem can be somewhat fixed, well enough to live with. Victors bat is very special for a catcher, not that special for a first baseman.

Don't bet any money on Garko ever being the everyday first baseman for the Indians or ever being an impact hitter in the majors.

Dont be surprised if next year he isnt in AAA for what the 3rd or 4th year and turns what 27 while there.

Although having Garko on our bench would solve a potential problem with Victor at first and Shoppach catching, you really limit what you can do unless you have a 3rd option at catcher if both of your catcher are on the field.
