WILD CARD ROUND: Browns @ Texans 4:30 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Possibly the worst team to suffer such a loss against outside of another AFC North Team.
I want to see the Browns hang 50 on the Jags next season.

Also Jim Schwartz to figure out WTF to do against misdirection. Every huge loss has been a result of that and the QB moving around in the pocket with enough time to throw.

I don't even think the Texans ran the ball like that.

All this game did is further prove the importance of getting Watson back to some semblance of a successful QB..

Defense this, defense that but the teams that win in the playoffs have the best quarterbacks, and that's who won today..

Good coaches adapt and adjust, and I trust Schwartz has the capacity to do so this off-season..

There will be some changes made this off-season but the biggest gain will be health..

Overall, this is still a good football team on the upward trajectory... Restock the defensive line, add some speed on offense and get healthy..
Still a ton of questions on Watson. Does this injury further effect him going forward? Does he ever return to Houston form? Cleveland maybe seen that 2 games out of 12. Does he get hurt yet again? He hasn't played a ton of football in the last 3 years. He's all sorts out of rhythm, and when that one turning the corner 2nd half comes and goes, it's all over.

Nobody should feel uber confident.

Texans are well coached , and are no doubt gelling at the right time - Browns lack a real pass rush against a QB like CJ

Yeah, ford's a JAG. The RB and WR spot need to be upgraded asap in the offseason.

Yea we need to upgrade #2 RB and our WRs. I do think getting another good TE would open some things up for Stefanski. Bryant stepped up in this game but he isn't Hooper level and when we had Njoku/Hooper/Bryant it just seemed like one too many TEs for most defensive to matchup with.

The Watson trade was and will be known as one of the worst Berry was savaged

True, not many. I'm just trying to be realistic with Chubb's injury. It's a brutal injury for any RB, especially at his age. We need a contingency plan and Ford/Hunt ain't it.

There are always a lot of RBs on the market and that emerge as late round picks or undrafted. I just wouldn't settle with what we have. Hunt has a role as a short yardage back. I just think Ford is someone you can clearly upgrade from. He doesn't really possess any great skills at this level.

How many teams in the NfL can employ a RB2 who they’d feel really good about as their RB1? Its tricky.

I wouldn’t be opposed to Chubb, Hunt, and Strong.

I also think those holes will be bigger once the OL is back to full strength.
Hunt still has some juice left in short yardage situations, but not sure about keeping him over Ford.

I think Strong has more to show, but had limited opportunities. I would be indifferent about cutting or keeping him for Hunt or a late round/UFA back.

Maybe the Browns should be looking for Chubb's eventual replacement? It's really anyone's guess how Chubb looks after another major knee surgery. He's around the age where running backs begin to have more injuries and drops in performance. Kareem and Chubb are the same age...

I also think it would be interesting to see what Stefanski would plan to use Hunt if he had him all off season and he was ready to go/in shape from the beginning of the season. Maybe he would be a short yardage RB plus have some full back/lead blocker responsibilities.

Still see a lot of people talking about injuries on the offense and upgrading skill positions, but our supposedly historic defense just got absolutely eviscerated by a rookie QB. That's the big concern right now. If this defense turns out to just be a pedestrian unit, we are not nearly as close to being a contender as we thought.

Well that sucked. Anyone wanna buy my Peacock membership?

Houston built their team with all the Cleveland picks - Players - Kenyon Green , John Metchie , Christian Harris , Dameon Pierce , Thomas Booker , Will Anderson , Tank Dell , Brandon Hill Xavier Hutchinson and still to go a 1st 2024 and a 4th 2024 - Cleveland got Watson who has missed more games then he has played and looked like ass in most and Cleveland is salary capped and on the hook for his guaranteed $230 mil salary - Just a Dumb Stupid Trade - Berry clearly was Fleeced , now in his defense Jimmy did meddle
