With the 39th pick of the 2022 NBA Draft ....

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Isaiah Mobley screams Channing Frye. Why is a player of that caliber being disrespected by draft sites? He's clearly a second round talent at worst. If we can get him @ #56, that'd be a huge win.

Channing Frye was taller and a much better athlete. Fry also possessed a much better offensive game.

I can't disagree with that. There's a reason Frye was the 8th pick of his draft. Still, we need to draft Isaiah. We could use a reserve big that can stretch the floor & he's the brother of our best young player.

I actually suggest we don't draft Isaiah because he's Evans brother. Eventually he will likely be cut. It would be far better to not add his brother then to just to add him and cut him down the line. I've never understood the fascination with adding players brothers to your team even when they aren't NBA level talents.

Is that what experts are saying? Because to me he looks like a mobile big that can stretch the floor. Georges Niang was a guy that experts didn't think was a NBA player & look how that turned out.

Niang is a shooter. He sucks otherwise. Isaiah isn't as good of a shooter as Niang. Isiah has no stand out skills his current claim is that his brother is Evan Mobley. Isaiah also isn't that mobile.

It reminds me of Taylor Griffin. Remember Taylor Griffin? Most likely not he was the scrub brother of Blake who Suns drafted to troll the Clippers.

I'd fuck Taylor Griffin. She sounds hot.

He is standing next to Blake. I'm not sure you would be the one doing the fucking.

You say best young player, what player who is old is better? Love? LOL

I think if we draft Isaiah and put him on a two way contract, he would be one of the more talented players we have put on a two way since the inception of the two way contract. I'm not sure how many thought Wade was an NBA talent when we initially put him on a two way contract but Isaiah is the exact type of player you want to put on a two way contract.

Since the Charge is now in Cleveland and are sharing practice facilities with the Cavs, it makes it alot easier for our two way guys to get NBA coaching. Also I think alot of the stories of Evan Mobley pre draft last year involved how much him and Isaiah pushed each other to get better.

I disagree. I don't see a NBA player. But that's not why I don't want to add him. I think adding a fringe player to a team because he's related to one of your players is a bad idea. Never adding him won't piss him off as much as cutting him down the line. How do you think Mobley will react if he sees his brother getting cut? That's a slap in the face. If we never add him we never have to worry about cutting the star players brother.

I’ve seen very few, if any, mocks where Mobley gets drafted, so we could just sign him as an undrafted free agent. You’d have to figure we would be one of the favorites since his brother is on the team.

I think this makes the most sense. He's unlikely to get drafted and likely would prefer the Cavs over any other team that comes offering due to Evan being in Cleveland.

Question is if they’ll feel he's worth a two-way. They also could sign him to an Exhibit 10 deal.
