PG era.Just signed up for the network again. Love going back and watching some of the great matches and moments from my childhood but unfortunately that only makes the current product that much more depressing. What the hell went wrong?
I'm with you on them running the same angles for months. Braun Strowman has been facing Kevin Owens in some capacity since Owens joined Raw. Whether it be random ass tag team matches, scheming against Strowman in MitB, or the current shitty angle. They kick the shit out of a dead horse then kick it some morePG era.
Don’t want to push the envelope are far as language and violence.
When was the last time you saw blood on TV, last time you saw a real hardcore match. You see 3/4 segments with women every show. It’s to PC nowadays.
You have Breezango or whatever their name portraying gay guys basically.
Balor pushing the equality button.
Nia Jax and the bullying thing.
All boring and stupid for a “sports entertainment” show.
A 3hr show has about 20 minutes worth of good wrestling. The rest is a shitty sitcom that repeats the same storyline/angle for 3/4 months at a time.
I watch raw on Tuesdays after work and it takes about 25 minutes to run through it all.
You don't need blood, or bad language to make an entertaining wrestling show. NXT is proof of that.
Quite simply, there's no real competition, and the people calling the shots on Raw/Smackdown suck at their jobs.
RIP Grandmaster Sexy aka Jerry Lawler's son, their last storyline on TV seems pretty shitty now.
Allegedly, he hung himself while in jail.
Too Cool was pretty good to my childhood.
Supposedly he was in solitary confinement for 30 days, I mean anybody would be on suicide watch in that situation. Man... The family should get a lawyer and look into this one maybe.Real shame he never was able to get it together. Loved Too Cool back in the day.
Hogan has been teasing Hollywood and nWo a lot lately including in Cleveland at an convention, he says something really big is happening and 10/27 we'll find out.
Any idea?
Maybe an nWo Table for Three on the Network with Hogan, Hall, and Nash?
Would be interesting if they put together a new generation of the nWo with the older guys functioning in like a mentor/manager role, too. Should just make it the Undisputed Era if they go that route, because those guys are already doing the nWo gimmick more or less and killing it.
I was waiting for a table of 3, but im thinking it's way bigger than that. I kinda hope they dig back into that story and recreate it while breaking rules
