WWE/TNA/Etc Spoiler Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Justa guy is his character.

I disagree though. If Orton Is open to feud with him so will other heels. nooone wanted to feud with Sandow

I have a feeling the same will happen to Zayn and Owens. But a part of that is Zayns fault. I honestly don't think he's over at all. He's just a guy right now he needs to become a character

I don't think I'd say that Zayn isn't over. He's been consistently getting big pops, especially at PPVs. The 'Mania crowd ate it up when he and Owens started punching each other during the ladder match, and they easily got the crowd back into the show last weekend after Enzo's injury sucked the life out of the fans.

He's not as over as he was in NXT, sure, but he's definitely over. He just needs more time to grow on the casual fans who had no idea who he was prior to his call up. As long as he stays healthy, that shouldn't be an issue for him. He's one of the top five in-ring guys in the WWE. If they keep letting him put on awesome shows like the one with Owens last weekend, he'll easily become one of the most over guys in the company within the year.

As an aside, I've been reading that Owens has been involved in title matches at house shows, so I'd say it's definitely possible that he gets a program with Reigns after the Styles feud is over. Even if he doesn't win the title, that's some great exposure for him. I'd also say it's possible they give Owens the strap at Summerslam. Usually you don't see JBL and Cole agreeing that a guy is a future world champ on commentary unless the WWE has plans for them. Makes sense, too. He's arguably the best worker in the company right now and is one of the few guys on the roster capable of putting on a four star or better match with just about anyone.

the 10 minutes Owens got in the ring with reigns before they unleashed the stable on reigns was just pure awesome

Wrestling starts at aound the 3 minute mark.

I'm shocked to see someone say they don't think Zayn is over. Dude is way over with crowds. Definitely gets one of the best reactions night in and night out.

Dude idk

Maybe Zayn is GETTING over but I don't think he's able to sustain a fued against anyone else but Owens right now and to me that's not being over. That's riding coat tails. They have to get him some momentum going with someone else besides Owens.

Zayn is a hot commodity all on his own. He has no need to ride Owens's coat tails. I don't force him having anybody problems staying over once his feud with Owens reaches a conclusion.

Well this is his first feud. Guys generally don't enter the WWE totally over. Styles was a rare exception, but he was also one of the most well known and lauded wrestlers in the world prior to signing. Zayn, on the other hand, was off of TV and out of mind for like six months due to an injury prior to his return.

What's going to get Zayn over is just giving the crowd time to appreciate him. He's amazing in the ring and the more matches he gets to have the more the crowd will love him.

The good thing about Owens and Zayn is that it's a fued you can revisit whenever you need to if you want a main event or if you've booked either one incorrectly and want to reset. Like they said those 2 will be fighting forever.

It's a lot like Ambrose-Rollins. They can always fight those two and have great matches the entire fan base will be behind.

Also, anytime they need them to team up, the crowd will love it

Yup. Zayn/Owens just has a higher ceiling to me because both Owens and Zayn are significantly better wrestlers than Ambrose.

An Owens/Rollins program would be awesome, by the way.

Nice touches on Raw.. Bringing out Cass against Jericho was good use of available talent
setting up the fatal 4 way we all knew was coming had some nice twist..
Also establishing the mcmahons as a team before they start stabbing each other in the back is a nice build.

I'm also wondering if New day will make it out of extreme rules with the title. They are really selling a feud awith the dudleys and Vaudevillians even though New day is vaudevillians next opponent or maybe its filler until Enzo and Cass return.

I'm hoping multiple feuds going at once is part of the alleged new direction of the WWE.

It would be great having random chaos on ppv events manifest itself

perhaps they could coin it the rivalry or feud era.

too many times under the old way when a feud program ends. it goes away.

Yet Owens for example if he runs into Ambrose or even Ziggler the disdain is maintained.

WWE's template for tag team feuds is so predictable it hurts

Step one feud starts
Step 2 have singles matches between all members of tag team where no finishes are clean

Step 3 have pay per view

Ugh

WWE stopped caring about tag team wrestling years ago. The amount of surprise by you all about how bad the booking is, is astonishing. They haven't gave a fuck for the past 10 years about tag team. If you wanna see good tag matches watch Lucha underground.
