'14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Detroit Lions (mofire)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: 2014 RCF Mock Draft: Philadelphia Eagles (howler1313)

I got something screwed up on the colleges.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

BTW, pick #79 overall is Washington's from when I moved up to 34.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

With the 67th selection, the Oakland Raiders select Tre Mason RB Auburn

McFadden and MJD are the current running backs in Oakland, they need one for the future. Mason exploded with over 1,800 yards and 24 total TDs helping Auburn winning the SEC Championship and an appearance in the national championship game. He should help the weak Raiders offense

the Falcons are now on the clock

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

For the record, this is why we don't do a 3rd round usually. I'm in for another 1/2 rounder, but this one lost steam real quick.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

i was hoping we could keep this thing going

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

We have pretty much reached the point of this mock draft where what we know about players is limited by what we see in other mocks and/or limited (if any) YouTube film. I would tend to agree that 2 rounds is plenty. Most of the picks from this point on would be players people have heard of or they are copying off other mock drafts.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

Somebody make the pick.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

With the 68th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Cameron Fleming, OT, Stanford.

My pick with the Buccaneers will be made soon.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

With the 69th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select...
Jimmy Garrapolo, QB, Eastern Illinois

STRENGTHS Has a very quick trigger and good wrist snap that translates to a smooth throwing motion and clean, compact delivery (no windup). Lightning release quickness. Urgent decision maker. Sells play-action. Athletic enough to slide in the pocket and buy time with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. Has a very quick trigger and good wrist-snap that translates to a smooth throwing motion and clean, compact delivery (no windup). Lightning quick release. Urgent decision maker. Sells play-action. Athletic enough to slide in the pocket and buy time with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. Good anticipation -- throws his receivers open. Can change ball speeds and drop it in a bucket. Does not take unnecessary sacks and will dump the ball. Will deliver the ball looking down the barrel of a gun. Tough-minded and poised in the pocket -- can withstand a hit and pop back up. Highly competitive. Smart, respected, vocal team leader. Very durable, experienced, four-year starter. Good football intelligence.

WEAKNESSES Is a tad undersized with small hands and short arms. Uses a three-quarters delivery that could lead to batted balls. Works heavily out of the shotgun in a spread offense, and footwork could require adjustment to working from under center. Does not always feel pressure in the pocket. Does not rip the deep out or drive the ball with high RPMs. Undershoots and often hangs the deep ball. Makes receivers work for the ball downfield, and deep accuracy could stand to improve. Makes a lot of simple, one-look reads and was not heavily challenged by consistent pressure or complex looks in the Ohio Valley Conference.

BOTTOM LINE A decorated FCS passer, Garoppolo could excite quarterback coaches with his quick delivery, mental make-up and work habits, yet he still needs to prove he can fit the ball into tight windows and do more than carve up soft shells the way he regularly did on his way to a record-breaking performance in college. Possesses the physical tools to eventually earn an NFL starting job in a rhythm passing game with continued refinement but is more of a caretaker than a game changer and will require some patience adapting to the NFL game.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

With the 70th pick in the draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

TOM SAVAGE, QB, PITT.

Although he is not who they were planning on picking, he is much to high on their board to pass over. The Jags hope to develop him and use him as trade bait, like Cousins is to RGIII.

Wow, The Jags are building a dynasty here people.

Look out.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

I hate all of you...

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

I would take Savage on the Browns at the top of the 2nd with a shit-eatting grin.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

If the Browns got to their 3rd round pick and they had this crop of players sitting there, I think they are really really happy.

Just don't fuck it up Rapp.

Re: '14 RCF Mock Draft: RD 3 Oakland Raiders (JMcCurry08)

With the 71st pick in the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select......

Paul Richardson, WR, Colorado

And, like that, the Browns have one of the quickest receiving corps in the NFL. I know some will scoff at the pick due to Richardson's durability concerns; however, he would mirror Josh Gordon to make a scary task for opposing defenses. Richardson hauled in an impressive load of TDs, despite being the only real receiving threat on that Colorado roster. This guy posesses two key traits (outside speed) that I find important for successful NFL receivers: ability to pluck the ball and experience in running crisp routes. I like how he won't necessarily need to be a savior right away, but rather will be able to fill in at the slot and "X" positions right away.

Browns draft summary thus far:

1: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
26: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State :chuckles:
71: Paul Richardson, WR, Colorado

BimboColesHair and the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock...
