15th Roster Spot?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sorry for my ignorance. When you say Cavs not giving up much, does that mean just 2nd rounders yes?

Second rounder, singular. The Cavs presumably got back that second rounder from Denver in the Mozgov deal so they could have something to flip at the trade deadline or in the lead-up to the draft. Cavs have no other second round picks till 2020.

Excellent answers, comrades. Many thanks!

It's been rumored the Cavs will deal Haywood in order to get a back up point guard by the deadline... I believe Mo will be a Cav within the next couple weeks.

Mo to the Cavs would be AWESOME....could run some wild lineups with him at PG Kyrie at SG...Shump at SF Lebron at PF and Love at Center and a bunch of different options

Really hope this happens. Mo coming back just feels so right. The fans would give him an awesome ovation. Any beef he has/had with LeBron shouldn't be too hard to squash. These two have unfinished business to take care of.

It needs to happen.

Will Thundercat arrive before or after AS? Heh.. Thundercat...

Mo was probably my favorite Cav back then, even with LeBron here. And he also got us Kyrie... in a way. So he just deserves to be back here. Hope we can get him somehow.

I like mo gotti also but not super excited about dealing the Haywood contract for him. Not sure how else we could match the dollars.

Lebron isn't dealing one of his boys like james jones

If they trade Haywood for a PG, they still have a roster spot open, no?

Trade for Mo, sign Dalembert?

a players' history on a team should almost never be one of the driving forces behind attempts to reacquire that player later on. especially when roster space is limited and two of those spots are already occupied by players they signed for "sentimental reasons." granted, in that case those sentimental reasons were because of their history with lebron as opposed to their history with the cavs, but the impact on the big picture is still the same.

more basketball-based decisions, less sentimental bs.

Would love to have Mo back but only for the right price. I wouldn't up give up a lot for him especially not the Haywood contract. I hope the Cavs aren't gonna give up too much just for nostalgia. If backup PG is what the Cavs are looking for, they should get someone cheaper like Nate, Farmar, Will Bynum, and even Norris Cole.

I think the only way we can maximize the return on Haywoods contract before next summer is to get a draft pick back with a player...if we trade it straight up for a PG that will be a disappointing use of assets.
