Channing Frye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I came in here to congratulate you guys on a brilliant move and I'm shocked to see so many people down on it. Frye is the perfect backup to Love...and can play with Thompson, Mozgov, or with LeBron at the four. He's solid defensively - nothing great, but he won't kill you. And on the other end he is a lights out shooter with a quick release. Not only that but you guys get Andy's woeful contract off the books, which will result in significant cap savings. Just a great move all around.

I always thought Frye was a pretty weak defender (haven't bothered to check his advanced stats lately). If he is a legit defender who can defend Cs then this trade looks a lot better...

He is a pretty bad defender but so is Andy at this point in their careers.

That's not the right comparison as everyone is arguing he is much more valuable than Andy and presumably that he can be on the court in crunch time. If he is just AV+a 3 point shot that is not really somebody who will see a lot of time for us.

Lebrons sitting at home wondering why he ever left Miami

All I know is Channing Tatum better hit his fuckin 3s

People are talking up Frye far too much.

Guy couldn't get minutes in Orlando but he's gonna be the piece that puts us over the top?

Hope there's another move for a wing happening. Otherwise this barely moves the needle.

Typical cavs fan. Frye was fucking trash in his prime, now hes suddenly a great player at 32? Guy plays 0 defense, is even softer then Love, and is a choke in the playoffs.

Dude, Miami is a fucking mess ever since he left. They're about to have literally nothing, at all, left. Bosh's career is in jeopardy. Wade's game is ready to completely fall off, and he's a free-agent (hell he might leave).

Whiteside is talented, but nuts. Dragic is looking like a mistake contract. He's not getting any younger, and hasn't exactly blown them away with his game. And Winslow isn't looking that good.

Trash in his prime? Overrated, maybe but hardly trash.

Lebron is sad he missed out on the benefits of the Jarnell Stokes trade alright.

Miami is a dumpster fire. They should blow it up, but Riley has too big of an ego. They'll continue chasing free agents they have no hope of signing and then settling by overpaying mediocre players (Deng, Dragic, etc).

Yes he was trash. Suns fans absolutely hated him. Dude was a complete choke in the playoffs and is soft as baby shit.

Frye DRPMs over the last 5 years (+0.9, +0.5, +1.2, +0.2, 0.0, +0.6)

Currently 0.5 PPP on post-up possessions (better than Mozgov) - though it's only 24 possessions so far this year.

That's not trash.
