Oh man you posted his answer in another thread.
But great idea.

I get it. You also seem to be the only local guy who actually breaks down film, that takes a lot of time. For what it's worth you're doing a great job, sorry to nitpick.

By the way love the sig

no worries. thanks on the sig line. I thought long and hard @ it and it's simply one of my favorite "mixed-company" one-liners I know.

For those that are curious, I believe the funniest/truest joke (they're sort of one in the same, my favorite jokes are about a kind of universal truth) occurs in the beginning of Funny Bones and involves a fella who has run a bar, farm and went to congress but people won't call him Joe the Bartender/Farmer/Congressman... and for a good reason.

My question was sort of asked to LeBron by someone, not in the smoothest of ways. But someone asked him if we had an "advantage" because GS doesn't have any Finals experience. And LeBron basically said no advantage. Of course, even if he thought there was, I suppose that wouldn't be the PC thing to say.

thats one of those questions where you can't be sure his respect won't win out over the truth. It takes great concentration and discipline to make the right plays over and over again but knowing what it feels to get soclose and lose? Priceless.

Thanks for all your support, I am happy to inform you that I will be covering the games in Oakland for one of the best newspapers in the world, London's The Guardian. And I will also be at the Cleveland games. I'll be doing overnight reports for the Guardian and following the next day with my usual more involved stuff for the Scene. I hope you can appreciate what a huge thing this is for my career. To me this is as big as if I got a credit writing for the NYTimes....

Awesome job, man! Good luck!

That's like a Euro coach being called up to coach a LeBron James team in the NBA.

Congrats. How did you pull that one off?

THE GUARDIAN?!? YES!!!!!!!! Congrats on the new car (did you go with the A8 or the Tesla?). Last but not least, congrats on the new house. Like I said, Chris, the cream rises to the top.

Chris Parker just launching like JR Smith and knocking them down, bitchez.

The article was hilarious ("Like a Stratego spy finding your Marshall" - classic) then informative as always.

The one thing that concerns me is that the Hawks really just missed open shots, and 3's in particular. I mean, that can't be attributed to the defense, right? Open vs. wide open is still open dammit.

A great article for the downtime would be a look at some of GS's plays and their shooting percentages wide open, open, covered too. A deep dive into their team would be cool - like a scouting report. I think I read that Curry was shooting something downright astronomical from 3-land from the corners. Covering the corner 3 will be instrumental during the series, so hopefully we can get that addressed during off time.

Also, there's no way to tell, but Klay Thompson could have a throbbing headache on game day. That'd be a 6 on the Richter scale, but any indication that he will still be feeling his bell ringing will be kept confidential.

So great job and thanks for the beautiful read! Very exciting news about the Guardian for sure. I hope that they pick you up for non-Cavs related stuff as well in the future. That'd be the tits.

Change the asshole background, change life. :)

In all seriousness, congratulations! Looking forward for the read.

Edit 1: You know, we can always proofread stuff for you. Just let us as it.
Edit 2: To make my day even better, please tell me who will NOT be covering the finals. :D

Congrats Chris, does this potentially lead to covering more US sport for the Guardian?

Wow, the London Guardian, one of my favorite newspapers, I would rather read that rag than the NY Times or the Washington Post. It's on my daily world news bookmarks list. That puts you up into the former realm of Glenn Greenwald, who wrote for Salon Magazine for years before he got his gig with the Guardian. I hope you don't have to go into hiding in Brazil like he did, lol ;-0

Wow Wow Wow! Congratulations, Chris!!
