Jared Cunningham

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guy plays defense, moves off the ball, can hit the 3, and will swing the ball to the open man. How the hell can you cut him? Even if you discount the potential for him to get better, we have a bunch of guys who are injury prone to say the least and you need guys who can step right in without skipping a beat

i might have to eat my words about him...i really wasnt impressed by pre season but so far he's looked good filling spots

It was an easy view to have. Good, but not great college player. 3 years in the with NBA with very little production. It seems he's figured something out and perhaps is just in the right situation. It could be just the right coaching staff finally using him the right way and saying the right things. I'm happy to wrong about my meh assessment as well.

cunningham can play defense, that's why he's so valuable. we dont need more guys who can score really. love dudes who can hold down the fort while starters rest.

What's stopping them from just cutting Joe Harris?
That charming smile.

You can't cut that face.

My internet connection is dead. I've been itching to post about the Cavs in general, and can't much lately.

This team is so stacked it's giving me eternal hard ons. Jared Cunningham? Who the fuck is he? He looks really good though!

This team is loaded like a Kardashian vagina.

He isn't even successfully pulling off dimples. If we're going to have a white guy on the bench for everyone's wife to demand you pause the DVR when the camera lands on him so she can say, "why doesn't that cute guy ever play?" the very least he can do is have dimples.

Fuck this cracka.

Great hairline tho.

JC clearly has the skill and the athleticism needed to succeed in the league.
What he lacks is experience, which shows through his decision making.

I think it is great that we are giving him 8-10 minutes a game to gain that needed experience and potentially develop into a much better player.

Honestly, Cunningham's M.O. at Oregon State was his defense. I went to an Arizona / Oregon State game when he was there and sat next to a Beaver fan and he kept calling him "Gary Payton lite". Obviously he's not Payton's league, but it was mostly because of his defensive skills. I'd MUCH rather keep him on the roster over Joe Harris if it came down to choosing one.

Cunningham is showing a lot that makes me think we might actually want to keep this guy and see what we can turn him into.

The Cavs need to hit on cheap, young talent to extend their window for 5+ years. Delly was a gem. Cunningham seems like he could very well become a gem himself. You're not going to bat perfectly with these types of guys, but all it takes is hitting 1 out of every 4 or 5 and you're right there with the Spurs in terms of finding diamons in the rough. This is how perennial teams have such sustained success for so long.

It's stil early, and I did not put any stock into pre-season, but so far, on an NBA court against multiple teams we expect to see still playing in May, this kid has shown he has real NBA ability and athleticism and can contribute on BOTH end of the floor.
If we can lock him up cheap, I would do it.
