Good Lord...The rats are starting to come out now. At least this whole summer has taken the spotlight away from GS's championship like they did with us last summer.
Maybe..we don't want this kind of attention..do you know what those clowns are doing there/
Laughing at the Cavs right now.
Laughing at Kyrie and Lebron.
That's what really gets me..knowing how all this stupid crap looks to the rest of the league.

I was wondering exactly how playing with LeBron and Love helps Kyrie and I just can't get away from the fact that this is just a horrible basketball decision.

So Kyrie is a 1 on 1 god basically

Exactly what LeBron used to be back in the day so what was the defense teams threw at LeBron? Thy showed him 5 bodies every play and told his team to make OTHERS beat them. And they did that knowing full well LeBron was a willing and able passer.

I have to imagine a team with Kyrie as the centerpiece is going to see the same defense if Kyrie is the primary ball handler. The only problem is Kyrie isn't a willing passer. he must think very highly of himself as an all around player but the stats only show him as a scoring guy. I just don't want him to do this and totally disappear afterwards

Also if we offered Kyrie for Porzingas straight up and the Knicks declined and the NYK fans found out does anyone seriously think the fans would be happy?

Kyrie is better and more valuable than Porzingas idk how that's even an argument

That wholly depends on how you determine value. All-stars on rookie scale contracts are typically viewed as the most valuable assets in the league.

Mehh. The other teams can laugh all they want but we're still the only other team in the NBA besides GSW with a chance of winning a championship. It won't be as funny to them when they're watching the finals next June.

How? That's one of the most important factors for a big man. That's almost, the equivalent to being a poor defensive player for a guard. And isn't one the reasons KP is so intriguing is because of his defensive upside.

When you're giving up extra possessions on offense; that's a big deal.

I get that, but still isn't that appealing to me, when losing a player like Irving. And Rose as our starting point guard? Goodness, that's depressing me already.

Where is this unlimited offensive ability? His TS% is in the lower 50%, which is rather poor.

He's not even come close, at all, to suggesting he can be an elite scorer in this league. In fact, the odds he will are probably not that high.

All he's shown right now is to have a rare skillset for his size. He's 7-3, athletic, with range on his shot.

That doesn't mean he'll become an elite scorer.

He'll always have a mismatch skill, which is great and will allow him to be effective in a big way in this league.

However, that doesn't mean he's going to light it up offensively even close to a player like Kyrie's talent.

Basically, we're going off hype and perception with KP; more so than any glimpse showing he can be remotely this type of player yet.

Not suggesting he isn't good, or won't get better. But the question is how good will he be? And there's more question marks than answers right now.

He's not KAT; not even remotely close.

He has been stuck in an archaic offense with no pass vs PG's and Melo... I mean that has to be taken into effect... And also I am by no means pushing for Rose to be our starting PG... Just stating they seem to have good history...and I don't see NY trading KP anyways.. Just think people who don't believe he has the ability to be an exceptional talent are mistaken .. His overall numbers tell me he is productive by the stats I provided...I must admit I am more old school and so not get in to advanced stats an analytics... So some of those stats you provided may mean he won't develop into what I believe he will be but my eyes tell me he has a chance of being Dirk special

How did this Troll escape ? I thought they were all trapped in Netflix in that awful Trolls movie - which one of you released him ?

I came through your tube tv as you watched my awful movie. You were crashed, so you probably do not remember. By the way, you need to straighten up your tree-house.

Anyway, you believe Pels will trade Davis for James right now? If James demanded a trade, right now, you think the Pels will trade Davis for him? If James was so fed up, akin to PG-13, you really believe the Pels, Spurs, or Thunder rents an un-loyal guy for a year? while giving up Kawhi or Davis caliber player?

This is why Indy got far less value for PG-13. Nobody wanted to rent this guy for a year, his loyalty was in question with LA rumors swirling. James also has LA rumors swirling. James with one year left, no loyalty, and LA rumors swirling around teams will mortgage their young franchise players for him? No way.

Depends on who we get. We can win without Irving, just gotta get the right pieces. Personally, I think we can do some things to match up against GSW defensively, but that Irving kid is a dynamo. I seen him and James literally destroy GSW team by themselves. There are very few players that I can say are arguably better than James offensively, Irving was one. That will be rather hard to replace.

Say what you want about James, but he would be the closer on any other team. Probably except with KD. That is saying something about Irving.

With that said, I think he will be a here or part of a 3+ team trade before it is all said and done. Too valuable, and his ceiling is very high. I guarantee people on this board will stalk the kid after he leaves. Watching in awe or Hoping he fails, most likely the latter. I can see the threads now...

Irving shoots 34% against the Spurs.......

"Haha, so glad this ball hog is gone"

Irving goes for 45 the next day

"Crickets"

No mention of that game.

It would be funny if we didnt trade him at all, GSW does not make it and we win the chip. Then what does James and Irving do?

Can something happen already? Sick of coming in here and just seeing fat basketball nerds debate who they want more.

We didn't officially get Kevin Love in til August 23rd. So I'd be prepared to wait awhile.

Younger people these days don't like it when older guys start talking about "back in the day" when mentioning the difference in old school vs. new school NBA.

But "back in the day", if Larry Bird would've publicly made fun of World B. Free, Lonnie Shelton would've put Larry Bird in the hospital.

Might be true, but Kyrie is a hell of a lot more valuable to us.

He's one, the better player between the two. There's no debate there.

We're trying to win now, not 3 years from now.

How many times have we heard this excuse? KAT and Jokic aren't playing on awesome teams/franchises either.

I'm not saying he won't develop. I'm saying he's shown very little development, for me to go out on a limb and trade a player like Kyrie for him.

Not implying I wouldn't want KP at all. Just not for a player like Kyrie. I'd want more.

But I agree, the Knicks would never give us more. So to me they are pointless.
