Malaysia Flight 370 missing

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Reportedly they found some missing pieces off the Australia coast. They found it via satellite imagery.

How the hell are parts of this massive plane just now being found?

How the hell are parts of this massive plane just now being found?

Because it's a tiny speck when compared to all of the possible places it could've been..

You do know how massive the ocean is, right?

They were looking in other place before. It's like a needle in a haystack.

It disappeared for a while in a black hole according to CNN... :chuckles:

I thought they knew about the area it was around? And didn't they search a massive, huge area where they thought it went down?

Wrong place. They've moved the search at least 3x. The lasted is that the objects detected on satellite may have nothing to do with the missing plane.

This again...? So they still haven't found the airplane or parts of it? You have got to be kidding me... That's twice they thought they have found something on satellite and it ended up being nothing

Malaysia Prime Minister on CNN confident that plane has most likely crashed in Indian Ocean.

Haven't released any images of what was found....still seems sketchy to me.

So they believe this....but have no definitive proof, correct?

I'm at work so can't do too much research, but have they alluded to what the circular green and square orange objects they thought they found floating were?

EDIT:

Lunch Time....Watched the Prime Minister's Press Conference and it looks like the conclusion that the plane crashed is all based off of calculations that some company called Inmarsat out of the UK did? And Per the PM's speech, this is the first time the calculations for something like this have ever been done??? There is no solid or visual evidence. Not saying that I don't trust the calculations. However, unless they are holding information back I don't think you should tell all of the families as well as the rest of the world that everyone is dead and that it has crashed until you have something better than some numbers...I would like to see some confirmed wreckage before a statement like that is made.

Where did you find those photos? One of the average Photoshoppers here on RCF could lay an image like that into a Satellite photo.

Would large pieces of aluminum still be floating after crashing into the ocean over two weeks ago? Don't see how that's possible. There would have to be very large air pockets to hold something of that weight.

If the last known location of the plane based upon data received from one of the engine pings shows the plane was thousands of miles out in the middle of the Indian Ocean... and they can determine how long the plane had been in the air before that and how much fuel it would have had left... and with that fuel left, there is no direction it could have flown and found land, then determining that yes, the plane did crash in the Indian Ocean isn't a stretch. And no, if this the data they have, they should not be withholding what is pretty obvious at this point.

There still stuff from the tsunami in Japan that is washing up on shores around the world. Just a little bit ago a refrigerator was found floating in a bay on the west coast. So yeah, it could.
