Matt Barnes agrees to 2 yr/$3.2 mil w/ Orlando (pg. 34)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

I agree with you. I love LMA and have for a while and he is long and tall and skilled just like Gasol is and i would love to get him. I wish it was possible but like you said we can all dream.

My perfect day is getting courtside seats to a cavs game, and to my surprise who is there but LMA starting next to Shaq and Lebron after a secret trade that went through quickly. I look to my date, Megan Fox, with excitement. After the game we take the limo home to my penthouse apartment,....on the way, Megan calls her buddy Hayden Panettiere to join us for some hot monkey......anyways you get the idea.

Ahh, the dream, keep hope alive. :chuckles:

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

Funny thing is 2 different people started threads on CavFanatic, 1 saying we should go after Aldridge, and another saying what Brother Redbush said. I think he just reads message boards and articles and posts what he reads. I think cavs insider twitter is fake.

of course that's a fake account....it's no coincidence that that insider "has new infos from some gms" everytime somebody posts a rumor here or on cavfanatic

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

No idea who that dude is, but there's no chance Portland ever considers trading Aldridge. They're building around Roy and him.

Outlaws the guy they'll probably move. Doubt we have the pieces or him though.

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

Unless Kevin Pritchard has a brain worm eating the part of the brain that controls rational thinking LaMarcus Aldridge isn't going to be traded.

There is one thing wrong with your dream...........Megan Fox would be my date. She is mine dude and no one is taking her away from me. Ill fight:mad:

I know it's HOOPSWORLD but I think Ingram is pretty decent..

Will in Orlando:
Where do you think Matt Barnes will end up signing,I hear Cleveland and Orlando are interested?

Bill Ingram:
Yeah . . .the Cavs are close to signing him, from what I hear and you're right - if they don't, the Magic will pursue him for sure.

It's different from a lot of the stuff I read where Barnes seems to be a sure shot to go to Orlando..

I guess that good. I dont know. I think Barnes would be a good fit here and in orlando, and ORL just matched Gortats offer sheet so I hope they dont get Barnes too.

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

I'm still not sold on Barnes, but I suppose we could do worse. I just hope that Danny just waits a little bit. I have a feeling some big things are going to go down over the next couple days.

Unless Kevin Pritchard has a brain worm eating the part of the brain that controls rational thinking LaMarcus Aldridge isn't going to be traded.

I think one of my friends is working in a lab with those kind of insects. You want me to see if he'll lend me one? Coincidentally, I believe my next microbiology conference is in Portland, Oregon.

Hmm...:chuckles:

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

While Barnes would be a good signing, I think Danny has a fat trade brewing. Much like the Mo Deal last summer. I dont know if you guys heard rumors or anything (I was not on RCF at the time) but that Mo deal seemed to come out of nowhere.

I am thinking thats what Ferry wants to do again. I would guess it would be a couple weeks from now when all of the free agents are, for the most part, gone.

Good news i guess...We can actually say we have quality depth...I have not been pleased with what kinsey been doing lately, struggling against SL ballers...Barnes has said he will work hard on his game this off-season,even though i dont see him getting better, but its nice to hear...I dam sure rather him over wally and sasha

About that Cavs insider crap,i suspected its BS...He seems to get all his info either from here,BW,articles about CLE and any CLE info around the web...Everytime someone ask him a question,he always have "spoken to this executive" or "just spoken to this gm/coach or who ever"...And he dont carry himself like an insider,he seems to be on the internet alot...If you notice W&G and windy actually have something to do

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

Sorry guys, the sham is up. It was me. I talked to this GM and he made me come clean.

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

so, any update with barnes? with orlando resigning barnes, i think our chances of getting him just went up. :)

Let's just say that people in the know knew about the Mo trade about 6 days early. :chuckles:

Re: Matt Barnes Watch 2009

I also think that Ferry would like to make another big trade preferably to acquire a true PF although I would not rule out tweener like a G-Force (not looking to argue about why he does fit or Bobcats would never do the deal....etc). However, the only real trade asset without breaking up the core of the team, which I doubt Danny Boy would do is Wally. (signed to a $6-8 million contract with minimum guarantees in year 2) In other words, the Cavs would be offering limited cap relief this year but bigger savings in years 2 and 3. This is the type of deal that someone looking to dump a long term contract might be interested in, which is why I mentioned G-force (again, as an example ony). Unfortunately, I am not aware of too many teams looking to move a PF with a long term contract just for cap relief. While the Jazz are looking to move Boozer, they will likely get better deals than what Danny Boy can offer. In any event, Boozer comes off their books next year anyway.
