Barnes thinks there is a "good chance" he will sign with the Cavs:

Both remain free agents. Barnes, a part-time starter with the Suns last season, said there is a good chance he will sign with the Cavaliers, though other teams have shown interest. Jackson, a Kings reserve in '08-09, has talked with clubs but has yet to get an offer. He broke his left hand three weeks ago, but said the injury will be healed long before training camp.

Im guessing he signs something like 2yrs for 3 mil,last year not guaranteed like every other play:chuckles:

But its nice to have decent depth

We really need this one more piece(stretch 4) to lock up this off-season...On top of that we will get a vet.pg which i would like bobby jackson...All i ask for from barnes is to work on his game like he said himself this off-season and become a consistent player

Guard rotation looks good but I'd rather drop Kinsey and sign a vet PG at the vet min. LeBron would have a quality back up who can move him to PF for minutes at a time, and the C's def. look good. Sign Barnes and Joe Smith and we're good to go. Well, I'd still like Kleiza if possible.

Im not against signing Barnes, but if we get him I dont see us going for someone else who could start at power forward next to Shaq. For me, Andy and Shaq are a pretty bad fit together.

Maybe Im wrong and Ferry can sign Barnes and a so called "stretch" power forward, but Id prefer for us to be going after Kleiza out of everyone left in free agency.

Acquiring guards so we can trade some of the ones we have for a 4? Or possibly so LeBron can move to the 4 for large portions of the game?

He talks about wanting a win a championship and having a defensive mindset....Its also sad that he lost his moms

I wander what is ferry's personal mindset with barnes...One thing i always liked about him,is his hustle...He goes hard for what MB calls the 50/50 balls!!

Barnes is a great guy that just wants to win. He'll do whatever it takes to win a championship and put a W in the win column. He offers the hustle and stroke that we could add to our bench, and I think he would be a very key signing.

Yup. Barnes is a solid depth signing but we need a better fit at PF next to Shaq.

Andy/Z is perfect in the 2nd unit.

Per Windhorst on Reghi's show - Barnes has verbally hinted to sources that he'd like to play in Cleveland, but the Cavs have not expressed any interest in discussing a contract with him.
