RCF Dynasty Football League

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still against IDP. Defensive scoring makes no sense. You're telling me that Landon Collins is the most important defensive player in the NFL? Bullshit.

What about a system that rewards sacks and tackles for losses ?

Theres a lot of offensive players that rack up the points on a consistent basis that really don't help their teams win.

Yeah, if we can make it work points wise where it actually tracks the type of effect you have on the game rather than simply being a lineback on a bad defense that needs to make a million tackles then i'll be for IDP.

But do you really believe that Kwon Alexander, Zack Brown, Telvin Smith, Bobby Wagner, Zach Orr and Ale Ogletree are the best defensive players in the league?

No. They all just get a lot of tackles. Defensive stats are padded so much more than offensive stats it's insane.

Yeah, the only time I played an IDP league it was bad, pretty much what you're describing.

Id rather defensive players be kicker/te level scoring than actually deciding weeks.

Just my opinion. Maybe after a year of people seeing how to identify players based on scoring we can pump it up a little.

I agree.

I just feel it will be too hard to value defensive players currently when it comes to the draft. Where should these elite guys be taken? I have no clue. I've never even played an IDP league before let alone one where they're just as important as the offensive guys.

Well you can see how they performed last year. the flicker lets you sort by position and essentially double their points

Oh shit thanks.

Still waiting on your entry video for this Dynasty league tho.

I actually like the idea! I am sure points come off of tackles, sacks, INTs, etc which are not easy to project. I will have to do a ton of homework on this but at the end of the day I'll show ya peeps why I am good at fantasy football! :chuckle:

it is 30% of the roster. It should have an impact.

Landon Collins was on one of the top defenses in the NFL and he was a key factor in that.

He is ranked 29th in the top 100 and became an all pro in his second season.

The IDP is one of the reasons I signed up as you can build a team on both sides of the ball.
I don't see anyone dropping Drew Brees at the top of the fantasy boards while his teams struggle for wins.

Yeah, Landon Collins is fucking legit. Lucked into grabbing him off of waivers last year and he's one of my best players now.

As far as IDP goes, I think the top players should be comparable in scoring to the top WRs and RBs. That said, even under the settings I currently have enabled, the top players at each IDP position score less than the top players at WR and RB. When you factor in that we may used tiered PPR settings (.5 for RB, 1 for WR, 1.5 for TE), it will likely be significantly less.

Would you guys prefer to have two of each IDP position plus the flex instead of just one? That would make the positions a bit more important overall.

I ask this because I've found that, in my other league, they are mostly afterthoughts. We can only start one of each and there's no flex, so there's really not a lot of reason to roster more than two guys at each position.

I'm biased since I've never done IDP before so in turn I don't know a lot about defensive players outside of the elites like Mack, Collins, and Watt, so I'd prefer to just have to start one at each position + a flex.

Let's stay to one each plus a flex position. I think having two each would be pushing it since many of us are not familiar with the defensive side of the ball when it comes to fantasy football. I like the challenge of something new so I like the idea of drafting defensive players, but lets stay with the one. Can you adjust rules from year to year?

Yeah, we can always adjust the rules later. It'd take a league vote.
