Kevin Love is a better player at the same age than Chris Bosh and it really isn't close when you look at the numbers from their 6th seasons in the league. Both played 1 year in college then went to the NBA. Bosh played for Toronto who didn't make the playoffs in his last 2 years while Love never made the playoffs. Both were the clear #1 options on their teams. Here are their stats from their 6th season in the league. Bolded parts are who has the better numbers.

Bosh 2008-09:

PPG: 22.3
FG%: 48.7%
3FG%: 24.5% on 0.6 attempts per game.
2FG%: 49.7%
RPG: 10.0
APG: 2.5
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 1.0
TPG: 2.3

PER: 22.1
Off RTG: 114
Def RTG: 108
Offensive win shares: 6.6
Defensive win shares: 3.1
Total win shares: 9.7

Love 2013-14:

PPG: 26.1
FG%: 45.7%
3FG%: 37.6% on 6.6 attempts per game
2FG%: 50.2%
RPG: 12.5

Yea I really think some people have no idea how good Love actually is.. casual fans around the league think he is a stat stuffer on a bad team but he is an elite PF.. he is the best offensive PF in the league and LA is the only one IMO that is even close to him and he doesn't possess Love's range ..

bobcat's post is pretty much case close. Love's win shares offensively, defensively is soundly better. The only reason Bosh's field goal percentage is higher, because Love's game has more range, but the important stat his 2 point percentage is higher. Love is even more efficient than Bosh in his best season.

The only thing Bosh has is that he's a better shot blocker/alternator, but it's not like he's one of the best in the game at that. I'd say slightly above average in that aspect.

Love is, was, and will be going forward clearly the better player of the two. Love is considered by many one of, if not the best power forward in NBA.

No one has ever made that claim with Bosh, because he's clearly not. He's just a notch below the best of the best.

Bennett is going to be a BEAST in Minny. All that potential is going to come to fruition. Dude is going to score from all over the court!
You know this....how? I highly doubt he all of a sudden gains this ability to score from all over the court. He's gonna be a project that will take a lot of time.

You really aren't liking the trade are you?

We've gotten a proven star in Kevin Love. Bennett was pretty much a bust, and won't turn it around next year. He has a lot of growth to do. Wiggins hasn't even played a single NBA game yet.

We didn't give up too much at all. It was a win-win deal for all teams, except for well, maybe Philly.

There are 5 teams on paper that can win the title. 2 in the East, 3 in the West. The Bulls are good, but I have questions about Rose and Gasol isn't 2009 Gasol. People severely underestimate Dion and our bench. Think how much better our bench gets just from moving TT there. We are going to wear teams out.

Delladova and Thompson are going to take on larger roles? So role playing big man off the bench is bigger than trying to be a starting PF worthy of a top 5 pick? Delladova is going to be asked to do what he did last season. Maybe a little less even. Defend, hit some shots, and give Irving a breather. Geez, this is a click bait article.

This team is going to have some holes. The roster has some obvious ones (rim protection), but no one knows what the coaching staff is going to do in an attempt to cover for the flaws.

Wish the season was starting sooner.

Does anyone consider the fact that Kevin Love was the best player on his team and is now paired with not only Kyrie but the best player in the game. Teams will be targeting Lebron leaving K Love and Kyrie wide open. Easy buckets will be all over the place. And don't worry about missing because we have 2 of the best at their position rebounding the ball plus crazy Andy. I don't see how people can't Love the Love trade.

Pretty sure Andy and Lebron can protect the rim. Also not sure what teams will be able to out score the Cavaliers this year?

^ exactly. Going to be hard to beat us in a 7 game series.
