Bennett is going to be a BEAST in Minny. All that potential is going to come to fruition. Dude is going to score from all over the court!
Minny better hope so because he looked like ass for us.

If you like the Cavs or LeBron, I would steer clear of Pro Basketball Talk. The guy who wrote the article is a dedicated LeBron hater and is not a good analyst. He's more of a regurgitator of information rather than someone who can produce independent basketball insight.

The Cavs are the favorites in Vegas to win the title. I would not favor them over the continuously underrated Spurs, but I would favor them over any other team. Including the Bulls. If both teams are healthy, the Bulls aren't going to beat the Cavs. At least not with the rosters each team has presently.

The way to know that this writer dislikes the Cavs is to read his first paragraph, which is a shot at Gilbert and the team. The author comes from a Lakers blog background and for whatever reason just has never given LeBron a fair shake that I can tell.

As far as what the piece says about Irving's defense, the author got into a Twitter fight the other night with another basketball author over Damian Lillard being cut from Team USA and Irving remaining with the team. One of the first things that the author of this piece did was discuss Irving's defense as compared with Lillard's. After he was presented with statistics that seemed to go against his argument, he then chose another line of argumentation.

This "solid Irving defense," then, seems like the author's way of continuing that argument via his piece. I'm not saying Kyrie can't play good defense, but it's not something we've seen a lot of in the past.

are you watching USA Basketball?

Irving has not proven to be anywhere near solid on the defensive end in NBA basketball. I'm hoping this stint with USA basketball is an indicator of good things to come when he's surrounded by talent, but it seems weird to put him among our plus defenders while putting down Anderson.

That's not Kevin Love, right? Either that or he really looks different from what I remember.

Didn't even know Starter still existed. Or thought they were a Walmart brand now.

Love has a million different looks. He's always changing his beard. His weight of course has gotten better over time.

Not sure that I agree with this. I think he could put it together for a game here and there but Summer League really soured me on him after I went back and looked at the games a second time. I don't see the basketball IQ or feel for the game. He stinks of JJ Hickson to me.

He displays an ineptitude at defense that is really alarming. I am not sure he can develop into a good enough offensive player to overcome this deficiency in a team setting. I wish him the best, but I do not share other posters optimism when it comes to his future in the NBA. To go from the #1 pick in the draft last year to essentially a throw-in in a trade speaks volumes.

You really aren't liking the trade are you?

We've gotten a proven star in Kevin Love. Bennett was pretty much a bust, and won't turn it around next year. He has a lot of growth to do. Wiggins hasn't even played a single NBA game yet.

We didn't give up too much at all. It was a win-win deal for all teams, except for well, maybe Philly.

Nah, I'm actually pretty pumped. But I think Minny got a lot. They got a lot, because they had leverage - our championship window is limited, and we couldn't wait or sign Love outright.

But we haven't had this dominant a team in Cleveland since about 1954.

Let's hope this team isn't swept away like dust in the NBA finals though

wow can't believe we traded for a player of Loves caliber in Cleveland Ohio. and it is extremely likely that he signs long term with us. This is an extremely rare opportunity and I hope Cleveland fans give him the warmest welcome on Opening Night. I just hope Kevin is prepared for how loud the Q will be
