Sources: Nets, Nuggets reach agreement; now it's up to Carmelo Anthony to say yes

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hate this because the more I think about it all this means is Chris Paul or Deron Williams will certainly be going to NY when they are free agents. Screw the new NBA.

I love it because it's one less team with the money to sign Dwight in 2012 :woohoo:

stay the fuck away, OKC. . .

I think 3 guys are going to be on one side of the court,

(Melo, Amar'e, Billups) two guys will just be on the other side to get the rebound, chuck it up for the oop.

You need to be more worried about DH and CP3 or Deron Williams teaming up in LA. I think that's pretty much a given imo.

I really don't think the Knicks gave up that much. Chandler wasn't going to be re-signed, Felton wasn't going to be there past next season, Mozgov is a project center who may or may not become an average player, and Gallo has shown to be nothing more than a really good three point shooter.

If the Knicks stay healthy (and land CP3/Deron), then the 2014 pick will be low.

I mean, I guess it sucks if you still consider Anthony Randolph a great asset... I wouldn't.

Why is Broussard getting the credit for this? Was he the first person to read the article through the Denver Post or NY Times?

Broussard said on NY sports radio today that this deal was on the verge of going down and it was basically all Isiah and Dolan... He then went on some ramble about Isiah was the real one that brought Amare to NY not Donnie...

Actually, 50 Cent knew before everyone:

@50cent I'm a be right in the garden first game. my boy melo play.

:chuckles:

I think all of us smaller markets should sit back, point our fingers, and laugh because after the Celtics and Lakers are old and finished, the Thunder will begin their dynasty and kill both the Knicks, and Heat because both teams have too much of a chokehold on the cap and lack of young resources. We will wait because these Big Market teams will just ruin themselves because they cant win without depth.
Howard and the PG of their choice wont be able to join forces in LA with Kobe still on the books and a hard cap in place with the new CBA. If there is not a hard cap established, there will be longer need for proof that the NBA is no better than the WWE. They need to put force down on these players and control them or the NBA will die

Will the Knicks have any cap space over the years? Like somebody on here posted the Miami 3 signed for a combined $43 million. NY's big 2 will be signed for a combined $40 million. CP3 and Deron Williams want to get paid and win. I'm starting to doubt one of them make their way to NY when they are free agents.

With what?

Are the Knicks going to pay him with Monopoly money?

All it takes is for Paul or Williams to demand a trade. Suddenly you're look at Billups, Fields, draft pick(s) for CP3/Melo.
