I just think it's funny that Carmelo was going to sign with them in the offseason and he wasn't going to any other team. Not even New Jersey IMO. So why would the Knicks trade more than 50 percent of their team for a player they could of got for less if they waited closer to the trade deadline, imo or signed as a free agent? The Knicks FO got played.
Randolph has been traded to Minny.
I'm pretty sure Melo said it himself he was going to sign the extension this season, so if the Knicks didn't try to trade for him they could've lost the chance as he would've most likely signed the extension with the Nuggets or with another team. . . he really would've left way too much money on the table
That new Knicks team makes the Heat look like they have a deep bench. . . my goodness

Donnie Walsh just said this was all Dolan, Isiah, Leon Rose and WWW.
He's washing his hands of this mess of a trade.
He wanted to play for the Knicks once Miami did what they did and Amare signed with NY. IMO there was no way in hell he was going to sign an extension with NJ because point blank their team would be horrible. And he wasn't going to sign with Denver after all of this happened. I don't blame NY for making the deal because at the end of the day they got their guy but they gave up everything that made their team what it was.
