At this point with Miller's injuries and last 2-3 year of season stats, Gibson is the better player. Period. Sad to say so, but better shooter, better defender. Only thing Miller has is better passing, and even that's overrated.
If you guys paid attention, everyone LeBron has wanted to be his teammate has been garbage.
Laura Hughes, Shaq, Antwan, Miller
Hell he wanted Bibby, garbage. Do I need to continue? LeBron is trying to be the MJ of GM's instead of the MJ of 3-peats.
Ironically, you have hit on exactly the strategy from the Cavs point of view in the proposed trade. Cavs move a player that they know is not in their long term plans, but may be desirous to MIA 1) because of the unique talent blend Gibson brings to their lineup, but more importantly 2) The desire of the king with no crown to re-uinite with his harem (I'm sure a reconciliation can be arranged.) This second item would create the leverage for a deal that Riley normally wouldn't make, but MIGHT make to placate the crown-less king.
Also:
I should state that I would actually trade Gibson one-to-one for Pittman if the lapsed CBA allowed. Gibson, who has proven to be an unreliable player is-what-he-is: a 6-2 SG. This is a luxury not available to a rebuilding team. Ultimately , the difference between Gibson and Miller is that Miller is an established NBA STARTING SG/SF. Gibson will never be this; he should not be considered a core developmental piece and should be moved for developmental assets [a DEVELOPMENTAL center prospect such as Pittman.
I think Samardo Samuels is a good developmental player.

Miller = $6M; Roy = $19M [!!!]; Gibson = $5M
And finally, it rude to forbid someone to speak.
