Pryor eligible for the supplemental draft but suspended for the first 5 games

This is just a bizarre ruling. So will this apply to coaches next?

It was a compromise. The correct by the book ruling would have been he has to wait until 2012, the NFL gave themselves a moral out.

Big Ben allegedly rapes two different women = 4 games.

Pryor gets extra benefits at Ohio State = 5 games.

The time for Pryor to declare would have been in time for the regular draft. The did this because he didnt technically qualify for the supplemental draft but didnt want him to have to wait a full year.

Which would you think is better, say he cant be in the supplemental draft or he has t wait 5 games to play?

Are we really trying to say the suspension was based on his failure to declare?

You dont get what i as saying at all. He was eligible to play in 2011 for the NCAA. The supplemental draft is only for ineligible players. The NFL wanted to figure a way to let Pryor play this year and only bend the rule not break it. So, this is their solution. It was a compromise.

But yes, if he would have declared in time for the regular draft he would not be suspended this year at all.

I think it will take a 2nd or 3rd to get him. Someone is going pull a Denver and draft him too high.

Well, that depends...we really don't know what he was going to be unless he stayed in school.

Obviously he did more than what he was originally punished for, and his season was most certainly in doubt.

I just don't see a spot for him on this team. I'm not sure what he does well enough to play in the NFL. He's an athlete, that's not good enough. Someone will take him based on his name. Take away his name, he's not much of a QB prospect.

Going back to 1999, w/the exception of Rubin, Vickers, hell I'll even throw in Brandon McDonald, Harrison and Andra Davis, all of our picks have been a joke in the 5-6th rounds. you're telling me you wouldn't give up a 5th or 6th for a chance at Pryor?

So since other people couldn't find talent in the 5th/6th round, automatically Heckert can't?

Buster Skrine looks good, people are high on Pinkston, and last year Carlton Mitchel and Larry Asante. Asante was a bust, but I'd still rather let Heckert use the pick than take Pryor with it. Everyone but Al Davis, Dan Snyder, and Jerry Jones knows Pryor will bust.

The #Browns will send a representative to Pittsburgh tomorrow for Terrelle Pryor's Pro Day in prep for supplmtl draft, source tells PD

I just have this feeling Holmgren and Heckert will see promise in Pryor and pick him, cut Jarrett Brown and Pryor will be the developmental QB for the team

rosenhaus said Pryor will sign when drafted not appeal the suspension and will play any position asked to.

more reason for Cleveland to draft him and make him a receiver

Terrelle Pryor clocked an unofficial 4.41 in the 40-yd dash @ 6-foot-5, 232 pounds.

Pretty sure Oakland is interested.

Would gladly take a flyer on him as WR. I'd give a 4th or 5th.

One thing I will say: kid throws it 75-80 yards with ease. For what that's worth.

So far Pryor is 22-for-29 throwing to moving targets. Three of those incompletions were drops. Looks pretty good throwing it.

Ran a 4.36, 4.39 and a 4.41
