Re: Manny Harris gains steam down in Canton
It was the fact that he left his wet sock on when he put his foot in the new age version of an ice bath after a workout. Probably stupid when you think about it, but it was an accident and I don't think the Cavs were punishing him for it. Manny couldn't practice or play at the time, making it pretty hard for the team to justify carrying him on the roster. With the large number of games in a short amount of time and the absence of a real preseason, I guess they felt they needed someone who could actually practice with the team. They also probably felt he was unlikely to sign elsewhere if he couldn't play yet because of the injury.
Er, wasn't his injury more of a freak accident and maybe even not his fault? IIRC it was a freezer burn due to his foot being thrown in a freezer (by a trainer?) to help a foot injury heal.
