Game 24, Cavs v. LA Clippers; Wednesday, Feb 8th @ 7pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Obviously Kyrie didn't play tonight, but how bad do people expect this team to be considering how good he already is? This is a star driven league, stars win games. Varejao isn't too shabby either.

Anyway, this game was flukey. Jamison and Sessions will never have games like this again.

Yea, I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything I can to trade Sessions by tommorrow. He's used up any good he had left. His next 20 games will be disasters.

If you want to talk about this game or post your reaction to this game or what happened in this game, this is the thread for you.

If you want to to start arguing about treadmills/tanking/playoffs/etc., there are other threads for it.

I'm fine with a diversity of opinions (and will protect posters who wish to express them), but I don't want game threads to get twisted up in all the same arguments. Plenty of other threads where you can have those:

etc.

As I said earlier, it is amazing what a difference a year makes.

Can anyone imagine last years team overcoming the loss of their best player just before tip and managing to come out and beat a team playing .660 basketball?

It is refreshing to see this team not feeling sorry for itself at the first sign of adversity the way they did last year.

To be quite honest, I think it should be all condensed and merged into 2 threads. One titled "We're Happy We Won!" or something like that, and another titled "Losing Games Is Good For The Future". The main section is just filled, FILLED with clutter, and it's hard to tell what goes on in what thread.

Even though he missed that late dunk (would have been spectacular, too), it was good to see Gee again contribute down the stretch, including hitting his FTs.

Also interesting that the Cavs didn't look like they were suffering too much from the effects of a 2nd night of a back-to-back.

No offense to the guys that want us to lose every game, but how can you sit in-front of your tv watching the game, the team you follow, and want them to lose?

It's hard for us to weed out every thread but we're keeping an eye out on it. Right now, there are player threads, the draft thread, special-news threads, and a few threads that move in many directions. We'll see what sinks/swims and eventually close the threads that overlap.

Personally, it makes me indifferent to where the Cavs end up this year. I'm happy for their success, but not as much concerned about their health. We have been lucky for the first 15-20 games. But how are the conditions of Andy and Kyrie? Is it serious? I hope their okay, because their lives as people come first (players second), then if they're at least okay, I want to be able to know if they'll be good to go in the next few games. This always is a concern of our team and a reason why terrible droughts have happened...

3 rd back to back night winw asnt it?

I thought Kyrie did very well tonight.. HE ha d a nice designer jacket. He listened in on the huddles and he seemed focused on watching the starters work without him. Anthony parkr was also exception as usual in sideline demeanor. several times i mistook him for a coach and you saw scott bounce ideas off him several times. Irving though had a much larger plain clothes presence than tristan thompson. which is odd becuase youd figure the big guy would stick out

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed that win. Normally, I would have been fine with losing to the Clippers this year as they are finally challenging that other LA team. That was, until I actually watched that team play. What a bunch of whiny bitches. That coupled with the absolutely atrocious job by the referees left me wanting us to absolutely beat their asses. Plus, it was a fun game to watch.

Anyways, some thoughts on Mr Sessions. I wonder if getting the start was a factor in Ramon's performance tonight. Last year, he usually played better when he started over coming off the bench. I have also considered that he played well to start the year. Then, went into his funk. Wonder if it was because he thought that he could regain the starting job from Kyrie. Then, when it was clear that was not happening... funk. Anyways, great game by Mr Sessions.

It's kind of funny how whinyness doesn't only pisses people off when it's another team. I mean, does Varejao not complain as much as anyone out there when he gets called for a foul? ANd I'm not saying this to point you out, it's just a normal fan thing that I find interesting. You go to opposing team boards and they hate Varejao because they feel he plays a little dirty, flops, and whines. Here, he's a hard working son-of-a-bitch.

Personally I loved the game tonight. Both teams hitting eachother, taking some cheap shots here and there. Felt old-school except for the flagrant call by the refs
