Actually, being out in the sticks hunting and such is real prevalent, so it is relatively easy for an underage kid to get their hands on a gun.
I've thought this before, and I'll write it again; teachers, after extensive background and psych evaluations, should come strapped to schools. Colleges, middle and high schools should be teeming with responsible, stable, and gun-toting teachers. Go over Dickens in the morning and put a bullet in the psycho student's dome after lunch. Real talk.
So the fact that a kid can sneak up from behind and take the teachers piece has no worry to you? Stupid idea in a very sad thread.
This is unbelievable. Hope these kids can make it through this. I'm glad they have the kid alive, I hope everyone gets to tell him how big of a fucking pussy he is.
Seriously though you said you went there right? I was there in the first half of the 2000s, never ONCE felt unsafe or did it even cross my mind that it could happen. I mean fuck I can't even wrap my mind around being in Bub's 2nd period gym class and hearing gunshots.
My older brother graduated in 03, I graduated in 06, and my little brother is a freshman now.
When I was there this type of thing never crossed my mind... not once. All I was concerned with in the morning was getting a delicious 'no hands' for breakfast.
cmstophe....
I hear it was Coach Armelli who chased the kid out of the building. Guy was always an Alpha in my eyes. He was my 7-8th grade football coach. I got a job in highschool so I didn't play in highschool.
Having recently experienced a community in mourning first hand in the Tuscon shooting, I dont agree. The best thing that could have happened is if Laughner was shot in the head. I really hate seeing these complete waste of humanity getting to live through such experiences. They only want to create turmoil and senseless pain, and having them alive to see the "fruits" of their labor just pisses me off even more.
You're right, but who knows the agenda of this kid and whether he was on the same level as Loughner when it comes to being a sociopath. Obviously both of them are fucking scumbags if you shoot at defenseless people, but this one might actually regret and break down in the future having realized that he destroyed his whole life.
EDIT: It'll be interesting to see the legal process and response this kid goes through. I can't remember any teenaged school shooter being caught alive.
