So the fact that a kid can sneak up from behind and take the teachers piece has no worry to you? Stupid idea in a very sad thread.

That's still stupid. Why should we have to wait for a teacher to open their (probably locked) drawer, open their locked case, and then find and shoot the gunman? If you add one to four officers patrolling the school at all times, you shave 2-3 minutes off this time, and save 4-5 lives.

Problem is its not just his life he destroyed. Recently a story hit home locally here, A 18 year old guy, beat and killed his g/f's 2 year old for not leaving his room to eat dinner. The g/f stood by and watched her kid die and did nothing. He beat the kid's head into the wall while choking his throat. This is a 2 year old.

Seriously, if you cannot control yourself more, you dont deserve to live. Period. And even if later you are found guilty and sentenced to death, the community and families you hurt should not have to deal with this. It saves millions of dollars if these type of asshats just end up dead.

lol I'm not disagreeing with you, I agree that it's usually the best outcome when a shooter is killed on the spot. In specific instances though, i.e. when the kid is a teen with severe anger issues who has been bullied and isn't a delusional sociopath, I think it's interesting when they are caught alive. Now, maybe this kid is a Loughner-type and should have died on the spot, but we don't know. I'm just interested as to how this kid is going to respond to the magnitude of his crimes down the road.

I will never forget topping out at number 3 on one kids hit list in 8th grade.

He got like a 10 day suspension for it...this was shortly after the Columbine High School shooting so it was taken somewhat seriously (looking back he should have been expelled if you asked me).

Being on somebody's hit list isn't an accomplishment. I had a lot of friends in high school, but I was never the one being a douche to those who didn't.

Albeit he doesn't seem like your run of the mill. It sounds like he has family issues and is somewhat conflicted with his existence, jealous of those who have it good.

I feel like this kid could have been helped with the proper therapy. If the reports are true and he was expelled for behavior, did the school attempt to help his mental issues? A lot of times these schools get rid of these kids and never look back.

Also, it is confirmed that one student is dead.

I just can't fathom waking up one day and thinking to myself "I'm going to school to kill a bunch of people, and spend the rest of my life in prison". What must be going through one's head.....
