2012 NFL Free Agency Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't care so much about Hillis, he became a distraction. Pops though? I really liked him and he played solid for us. That bums me out.

I just have to start questioning these guys now. They never offered Hillis a contract either, so whoever said we offered him more $$ and more years got bad info. Holmgren stated today in the season ticket holders conference call, that the Browns brass did not want to deal with him again.

Now they don't even offer Pop a contract. Not active in free agency, what the hell is going on.

The only move I even MILDLY question them making is not offering Adams a contract. Other than that, I'm fine with everything they've done in FA. I don't blame them for not offering Hillis a contract, I wouldn't want anything to do with him either. Remember, 5 agents or whatever in 1 year. Something is obviously wrong there.

Fuckin idiots. This team has got to be the god damn laughing stock around the league.

Dude, relax. He is a rotational safety. I liked him, but this move hardly makes the Browns any more of a "laughing stock". Expect the Browns to fill that vacancy, I really think you're undervaluing the FO's common sense...

This needs to be understood. If we see it, the FO sees it and they probably see it better.

If you need evidence, look at Rucker and Parker. They look like nothing at the surface, but if you actually do some work and look deeper, you'll see exactly how they fit.

I like holmgren. Alot. However, he did get releived of his duties as gm of the seahawks.

Just throwing that out there.

I understand that whole ordeal, but having Hillis and Pops back just crosses out a couple of needs, and lets us focus on something else. Now add S to the huge list of needs.

I can less that Hillis is gone by the way.

Tom Heckert is the GM of the Browns.

Just throwing that out there.

He's not even the GM of the Browns. That's Heckert's job man.

Don't we need a RT still? I hope to god we don't throw a 5th round rookie in the fire.

Yes, i know, but holmgren has a huge say in what moves are made around here. Hes basically co-gm. Besides, i was *just* saying anyway... I like both holmgren and heckert.

It would be easier to list the things we don't need than it would be to list the things we do need.

I have 0 problems with Hillis being gone and safety was already a need. We can get a good back in the second or third if we don't get Trent, this is a deep RB class.

Yep. I'm sure the league is just rolling with laughter over the fact that we didn't sign an average 31 year old safety.

Hardesty was supposed to be the back, we reached for him in the 2nd.

It's always easy to say we can grab so and so, just like Hardesty was what we were talking about before that draft.

Our offense is looking explosive guys...

You just mentioning Hardesty gives him a knee injury.
