A role player? If I'm not mistaken he was somewhat in the run for the All Star team before his injury
no.
players on shitty teams (like the cavs are/were) don't make ASG's aside from a very few special exceptions (like k love). not only does he not deserve it, but nobody wants to see him there anyway because in the end the asg is about excitement and offense, neither of which av provides.
Kyrie could be just as prolific a scorer as Durant. I'm not sure he'll win scoring titles, but he's already shown that he can put the ball in the hole from everywhere on the court. And TT certainly could be our Ibaka.
lol no
durant is the best and most versatile scorer in the league and has been for years.
kyrie is not capable of that and frankly a pg shouldn't be forced to do that anyway.
Something is only worth what someone is wiling to pay for it. No lottery team will sacrifice a viable asset for 30 year old injury prone big.
this is what a lot of people miss. not so much now, because a lot are coming around, but definitely before.
nobody gives a fuck what his "worth" is to the cavs and it is most certainly not the same as his worth to their respective team.
for him being so valuable teams sure have been bombarding the cavs with amazing offers.
Maybe it's because of the way Andy plays? Recklessly? Maybe because the body also just can't take the abuse, and punishment it could take at age 25. Not to mention the body doesn't heal the same. Andy is always having some kind of nagging injuries, and it's never go to change. It's the nature of how he plays. Have you not been paying attention to his career?
Yeah, okay, Andy is going to continue to throw his body around like he has his entire career, and continue play in one piece. Sure....
Talk to Dwyane Wade, buddy. You play recklessly the way players like Andy and Wade do, they have much shorter shelf lives in this league. Father time catches up with all of them. But you try to be convinced it doesn't if it helps you.
don't waste your time.
acf is by far the biggest av homer on the forum (and you can count on erie to inevitably agree w/ everything he says). no matter how many injuries av has, he'll never be injury prone. i tried to explain the same thing to him 2yrs ago, before these recent injuries, and he disagreed. same thing after av's injury last year, too. av has been the most injury prone active big in the league and he
still doesn't think he's injury prone.
and of course, the cavs are one or two rookies and ridiculous, not-realistic-at-all free agent signings away from contending next year. when av will only be 31!!!
and nick collison!! even tho acf of course ignores why it's an entirely different situation....but still, look at nick collision!! av is the cavs nick collison!
