honestly, i still don't buy the "immediate talent" argument. what the hell did TT really add that year? was he really anything more than a name to show the fans? not really. and the cavs are never going to win if the fans are dictating the decisions anyway.There was alot of talk about JV's agent not willing to give the cavs clear details of his buyout arrangement with his team. Thats really the case that makes him a non-factor for the cavs. They didn't want to waste a pick that might stay abroad for a few years a la rubio, they needed talent that wanted to play
when at such an early stage of the rebuild, talent wins over everything. the cavs should've chosen the more talented player even if they had to wait a year or two to do so. that missed year or two is meaningless in the long-term picture.
said it right after it happened but might as well reiterate it now - i think the cavs are going to sorely regret that decision.
