Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know why we got to act like for sure we can't bring Hawes back. It may be a small sample, but he's looked fine. The guy is an excellent passer, can rebound, shoots well. Hell, he was the only one with extended minutes that looked good tonight far as I'm concern.

It depends what his market is. I wouldn't pay him $10 million, but if we can retain him in the $7-$8 million range, I think you got to consider it. The guy is 7 feet tall and is pretty skilled.

If we spend 8 million dollars on Spencer Hawes and haven't found a way to move Jack, we've just had a failure of an off-season. I really hope our sights are set higher with what to do with our money than Spencer Hawes.

Play the fucking youngins and be done with it...only acceptable course of action at this point.

If they make a move with Tristan/Andy for example, depending who we get, we might need him back. This team definitely needs another small shakeup in the off-season.

I know fans love Andy, but sooner or later we just got accept he's never making it through one season alive. I'd trade him before he walks and get nothing for him in return. I'd pick up his option obviously, then look to move him.

Who exactly do you think we can lure here that's better? We aren't exactly a free agent destination.

I wonder what the market is for Kyrie Irving this summer...

I didn't mind the Hawes trade but Im not sure how much he will actually help this season. The team was clicking before the all star break. I know the CJ, Dion, and Andy are all hurt but the Bigs didn't seem like the problem at all. The rotations seem to coming together and they all seem to be playing well together. The minutes change, taking out Sims and adding Hawes seems to hurt at a moment they should making a push. I think if they were going to add someone to this team it should of been a SF to back up Deng so they don't have to play so much 3 guard rotations. I think we went after the wrong 76er, Evan Turner would of help this team, was a restricted free agent, was cheaper than Hawes in terms of 2nd round picks, and would of been someone to take a swing at to see a fit if Deng truly wants to leave.

Hawes hasn't hurt the team at all. He's been one of the few guys who look competent on the floor. And I would have given them a second round pick to keep Turner.

I don't think Hawes is hurting this team either with his play. I just don't think the team as a whole seem to be on the same page and click like they were before.

They are playing better teams than they were during the winning streak, and doing it without their second best player and two key rotation players. The Hawes trade has nothing to do with it. We probably get beat worse the last 2 games if we didn't have him.

I wish they would buy out Jarret Jack. Just be rid of him, the guy is abysmal.

He is the reason we can't have nice things.

Knew the win streak was a fluke. Watch us drop 7 in a row now.

You can't buy out a guy with that much time left on his deal. It just does not make sense. I assume at the latest he can be traded in 12 months when he becomes an expiring deal. I am sure they will try to trade him this summer.

Hold up.

Let me talk this out with you. You want Sergey to play, because young guys should be getting the minutes. But you want Hawes, he of 25 games left on his deal, to start?

No, if Hawes ever starts a game over Zeller I'll be done watching for the rest of the season.

Starting him doesn't necessarily mean he has to play more minutes. Personally, I think Hawes is a better fit starting next to Thompson than coming off the bench next to Bennett. He and Bennett do a lot of the same things well, particularly the high pick-and-pop, so it makes sense to split them up as much as possible while Varejao is out.
