Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Starting him doesn't necessarily mean he has to play more minutes. Personally, I think Hawes is a better fit starting next to Thompson than coming off the bench next to Bennett. He and Bennett do a lot of the same things well, particularly the high pick-and-pop, so it makes sense to split them up as much as possible while Varejao is out.

only problem is Bennett isn't doing any picking and popping. All he's on the court doing is setting picks and know one passing him the ball when wide open. Hawes looks to be doing what Andy does at the free throw line and elbow...which is keep pump faking at the 3pt line instead of taking the wide open shot.

We should only be allowed to post in this thread while intoxicated for the rest of the season.

Screw Varejao and his bucket of pubes he calls a haircut.

Guy always gets hurt when we need him most.. How long has this guy been out? He's essentially the highest paid player on our team and the guy cant play 60 games in a season. Sick of him getting a pass for bringing energy, or being a fan favorite.

Seeing all the middling talent on the Raptors and how they've compiled a 32-25 record in this miserable conference is a huge indictment of the Cavs this season. The 6 game win streak was a nice break from reality, but they are going to quickly give all 6 of those back and possibly more with this upcoming schedule.

This. I can't wrap my head around how these other basement dweller teams (Wizards, Bobcats, Raptors) have been able to turn the corner this season. Are they really that much more talented than we are? Is our roster really that broken? Is Mike Brown really holding us back that much? Ugh this season has been very trying as a fan.

No man, screw you. He'd give anything to be out there playing.. we all know that. We all also knew he'd eventually get hurt this season, so I'm not sure why you seem so taken aback by this.

I just want to see some fight. Some anger on the court. I want to get out of my seat and match the energy. I'm tired of this going through the motions bullshit. It's fucking unexceptable.

I want to see hard fouls. I want for them to be fed up with being subpar. I don't want excuses. These are fucking grown men.

I want them to leave the bullshit off the court. To just say fuck everyone that doubts them.

I JUST WANT TO FUCKING BELIEVE THIS TEAM CARES.

I don't ever want to hear the phrase, "It's a long season", ever again. That is an absolute cop out used by players, coaches, and fans with blinders on to justify unjustifiable bad losses in the first half of a schedule. And it is those losses that, year in and year out, ultimately are the ones responsible for keeping a team like the Cavaliers out of the playoffs.

Mike Brown, point blank, did not have the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team prepared to play this season. That is his job. I was sick to my stomach at the announcement of his re-hiring. This season (one where, from the management on down to the coaches and players, we expected to be in the playoffs has been an abject failure. What's worse is Brown's complete lack of player development with rookies like Karasev, Bennett, and Felix in the midst of this cl*sterf*ck.

If he isn't fired after this season, I have absolutely no hope that this team will ever reach the championship caliber status we all, and Dan Gilbert, aspire it to become. What an absolutely deflating year for this fanbase with no light at the end of the tunnel in sight.

How does this team energize the Cleveland Cavalier fanbase next year. Because, right now after so many broken promises, it's going to take a Herculean effort to inspire any optimism and convince someone like me that we aren't just headed for more of the same.

This is exactly whats wrong with Varejao. People never hold him accountable for getting hurt.

To the point where it's expected and it's okay.

Shoulda traded him a long time ago

Great post, so true. The highlighted^ You know what? I don't want to hear it, just fucking win! No more bow-ties, no more season ticket holder meetings. Back it up with your product, nobody wants to hear your empty promises, just fucking deliver and then the fans will come back to you. Of course the fans never leave, and then the owners make more promises and the cycle repeats itself until you either attempt to burn down the arena with a zippo lighter, or ultimately move out of Cleveland and develop dissociative fugue and forget this whole "Cleveland Sports" thing ever happened.

It seems like this team is at a tipping point this season where we can either make progress in developing a winning culture or fall into a ditch and become the next Kings. It's unfortunate these injuries came on when they did because a concerted playoff push might have saved us. With the last three losses heading into a brutal stretch of games it's looking pretty bad. I think we're in for an organization-wide blowup this offseason, from the front office to the coaching staff to the roster we might be past the point of redemption here. It's frustrating because I still like this roster on paper. It's far from perfect/championship-ready, but we shouldn't be lotto bad.

Obviously, they meant well, but the Cavs have completely screwed up this rebuild--and continue to screw it up in the present tense. Not playoffs, probably no high draft pick in a good draft, a team that's going to have a hard time luring quality free agents, parts that don't seem to fit. Every move they make accomplishes nothing but burn assets.

I have no idea how they fix this thing but the first thing they should do is fire everyone and get fresh eyes. Certainly MB but yes, that means Griff too. They need to start over from top to bottom, right down to their analytics team.

This is such a waste of a season. Developing the young guys should have been made top priority. You could probably achieve that by acquiring a coach who does not heavily rely on vets. Commit to the journey my ass.

I hate the amount of flip flopping people do here. Like two games don't change shit
One season doesn't change shit
This team is young let them grow

This is a venting thread... SCREW these NBA refs, screw these injuries coming at the wrong time, and screw Mike Brown for sucking dick, not developing our players, making the proven vets we acquire look like shit, making Kyrie regress, and constantly getting out-coached. Oh yeah, and screw his cluster-fuck offense.
