Hard to believe DM scored the last 22 points. I didn't even realize it. But it seems Mobley had relatively easy attempts at the rim but was too weak / soft to finish, attempts that Allen would easily have converted. In fact, the loss of Allen is a major blow to the Cavs. I also think they need to play Thompson more. They need his force to counteract the younger Wagner who is an absolute brute, a Karl Malone clone without Malone's offensive skills.
And Garland, he needs to stop trying to force it inside to Mobley because he can't handle the force and aggression of Orlando and it's causing Garland to turn it over. Those turnovers have been crucial and one of them swung the momentum to Orlando which carried over to their win.
I also think they need to put more pressure on the younger Wagner, who to me, is more important to their team than Banchero, who basically only creates for himself, while Wagner sets up everyone else and also scores. Kind of like what other teams are doing to Mitchell, showing a double team. They need Merrill's shooting and in his spot minutes he could be the show defender against Wagner -- he does have good hands on D, I've noticed.
To be honest, though, with Mitchell playing hurt and no Allen, I think the Cavs should be the underdogs in this game, even though they are at home. The force of the Magic simply wore them down with their pressure the last game and that was why everyone but Mitchell, who was totally exhausted, crumbled at the end of the game.
