Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You aren't the first, but I have really had enough. Can we please stop with this "white" thing. Seriously, it is racist and I am tired of it.

I'm white and I'd love for it to continue.

I'm a huge fan of racist joking towards whites in the NBA because it gets everything out in the open that people are really thinking.

I don't understand why anyone would even remotely think of offering max or let alone $10 million for a player that shot .413% FG and .304% 3PT last year. Guess, Griffin wants to get fired next year...

Yeah, you should probably ignore the year before that or projections on how a 24 year old player will play when he's in his prime.

If he was black he would just be another player

Dammit, this is actually a good point.

I'd pay him the max, but only if he runs around after every bucket he makes and screams "White Lightning!" at the top of his lungs.

i'm all for signing hayward for the right price, but the max seems a bit much. i think 12 mil his first season under contract is fair. plus we would have to trade a guard or two of ours away to make room.

Obviously the poster known as "Malones Elbows" is a Jazz fan. If GH is so horrible why are you over here so concerned about him possibly signing an offer sheet with the Cavs? :detective

So saying he is not worth the max = horrible??

I wonder if it's the opposite? If he was black, with those metrics, would he have more "upside" and be worth the risk of a larger contract?

Look at him here dunking on another white:

Making Kobe his bitch:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/PVkNA4B1OLI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Blamming on one of the best athletes in the NBA

And tell me you wouldn't want to see that in the center of your screen at :13 every time he dunks on another white dude. Mom's a cutie.

I think this isn't happening. I think if the reports are true, he's just using Cleveland to get Phoenix and Utah to panic a little. Especially when you consider what he said about Cleveland. Then when you add in what Griffin said about media reports being completely wrong after the draft. That makes it even more unlikely. I mean the way Griffin talked about the "rumors" and the way he acted. It kinda like he felt they were so stupid he was surprised anyone believed it and it was just totally wrong. That just makes me believe no one really has any intel with this organization and it's all speculation.

I think this is the reason they want to sign him. They may have a deal in place that includes Dion and they need to replace him.

A lot of times a player's field goal percentage will drop when they make the jump to a starting role and heavily increased minutes..Look at Harden when he went to Houston and became a starter - his field goal percentage dropped 60 points...

Also have you seen what kind of deals are going down in FA so far?

Gortat - average, 31 year old center - $12 million a year

Avery Bradley is getting $8 million a year and he's a one dimensional guard that shot 43% last year

Lowry is probably gonna get $14.5 million a year - He shot 42% from the field

Factor in that this is Cleveland, a city that struggles to bring big names to town via free agency. So that means we'll have to overpay

I guess the lesson is, there are other variables to consider outside of field goal percentage. Don't just pull up a stat sheet and assume someone isn't worth the contract. I'd bet that you watched less than 3 Utah Jazz games last year.
