He's complaining about the possibility right now, on twitter. That no vocal enough?

So you're telling me that there is just no chance Andrew Wiggins is better right away? Or even if he is Dion should still start because if he doesn't he'll sulk?

We've already seen Dion's ceiling. He's a 6th man off the bench on a good team. That's what he was in college. That's what he's been as a pro. He padded his stats on a shitty team, and we are going to trade him before that's painfully obvious to the rest of the league. He's had plenty of time to prove otherwise.

Don't see how people ignore Dion's tweets totally.

He declared himself starter. Doesnt want 6th man.

It was before LBJ's announcement, in fairness

You've just lost all credibility...

Really. Just a terrible post. I don't even think you believe what you just typed.

Ok--whatever. So you posting a GIF from the Wire disproves that? If it's such a terrible thing, then it should be easy to refute with actual proof.

I haven't seen anything from Dion that doesn't scream 6th on a contender. That's his ceiling. He's had two years to prove otherwise, and I don't see it.

What do you see that proves it? Other than some stupid GIF?

His stats as a starter after the all-star break serve as proof to refute the idea that we've already seen his ceiling as being a 6th man.

I'm not at all against trading him in order to achieve roster balance, and I'm not saying I wouldn't rather have Wiggins starting on this team, but the idea that Dion isn't a starting shoot guard for a team in the NBA is asinine.

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!!!!!

Dieng and Love for Bennett and Wiggins is as fair as fair gets.

And for the love of God, HE'S NOT EVEN HURT ALL THAT OFTEN!!!!

minnesota isnt in the position to get a fair deal. this scenario is probably chris grants wet dream. trade rape or bust.

We discount the stats of Kevin Love for being on a shitty team, but we don't do it with Dion's stats (which don't even sniff at Kevin's stats). Seems like text book homerism to me.

Who is, "we"? I certainly haven't. Did Dion get more opportunities under that circumstance? Of course - but his efficiency was very good as well.

Same goes for Kevin Love.

Don't attribute a point to me that I didn't make.

All it's going to take is for Love to come out publicly and say he won't re-sign with Minny. Once that happens, Minny loses all leverage, especially if he names a particular team he wants to go to. It's only a matter of time before he comes out and says what is already widely known. Just be patient. It's why GS and CLE aren't fighting each other to push the price up. They both know that in the very near future Minny will lose all leverage.

Not sure I'd call Dion's efficiency very good. It was good in the last 15 games or so, but only slightly passable for the season as a whole.

Agree-you didn't make that point. But it still stands in response to the broader conversation in this thread regarding trade values.

Do me a favor and re-red your initial post. I'll even post it again for you to make it easier.

Your post was wrong on so many levels that I felt it didn't even warrant a legitimate response. Honestly, you said that you already knew the ceiling of a 22 year old, 2nd year player. You pointed to his college days as a sixth man as validation that, that would be his best role in the NBA. That's some shit a casual fan of another team would say.

Come with a real argument or some good points to make and I'd be glad to debate them with you. I'm not going to write a thorough, time consuming post to refute your baseless opinion though. Especially when you most likely don't even believe what you just typed.

Sorry if I sound like a dick but this post pushed me over the edge...

What if LeBron wants to play with Waiters as much as the other guys he mentioned in his letter? The crying on this board would be hilarious.

I'd prefer he just go out there and play basketball.

I'd expect him to want to start. Non issue.

He just doesn't need to be making it public.

Don't tell me Dion. Show me.
