I'm willing to take bets Dion will be a Cav on opening day and will be starting

I will 100% take you up on that bet. I've heard a lot of rumblings in the past day or two that make me very confident that Dion is not a high priority for this team.
Can't wait for my new Wiggins jersey.

Compared to Wade now or Wade in his 2nd year? Either way, Wade is the better passer. In Wades' 2nd year he averaged 6.8 assists per game. Even last season he averaged 4.7 with LeBron dominating the ball.

I get what your saying, but it seems like your going on potential, which I think we all can say AW and Dions potential are not close.

I just see AW and Lebron as nightmares to face on D, and with them on the floor I see a lot of fast break easy opportunities. With Bron and Dion you would still get a lot of run outs but not nearly the same as AW and Bron.

TOrn, you're missing the point. It's not about who will start, it's about his need to feed his ego publicly. No reason at all to tell people out here that not only does he want to start, but he thinks he should start (despite not having one practice w/ the new coach and new players on the team) and that Wiggins should earn his spot. Does not need to be said out here. It's dumb and it plays right into the narrative that in his world starting is more important than winning.

He's got idiots, probably mostly from this board, trolling the shit out of him that a rookie is going to start over him. He didn't put out a statement. If Blatt tells him to come off the bench and he refuses then you are right. Until then frenzy to get him out of here is absurd.

Dion is an ideal 3rd guard off the bench. Very few teams will be able to bring that combination of youth, scoring, versatility, & athleticism off the bench.

I totally agree, IF he accepts that role going forward. I have my doubts. If he hangs around it'll be interesting to see if the tool-ish behavior recedes this year or increases.

Waiters is the kind of guy I wish the Cavs used to have to insert into the lineup when James went out for his "blow" (Reghi) back in his first go-round with the Cavs. James used to always get his rest after the first quarter, and you'd just sit there hoping that the Cavs could survive 4 minutes to get him his rest. Often the other team would go on a run and the rest would be cut short. Waiters can carry the team for short bursts, and on occasion when he's the hot hand he can win you games while the starters get more rest.

This is just really indicative of the loyalty you see from "Real cavs fans". You guys are back to nut hugging Lebron and throwing the guy who put the team on his back last year under the bus.

Ship him out for whatever big name you can get immediately.

Relegate this guy to the bench.

Did anyone actually watch him play when he became a starter again and was running the damn team? He was ballin, straight up.

I don't know if he should come off the bench or not. That is Blatt's decision, not yours. Dion over and over has shown admiration for the Spurs. I think he would get it, and do what is best if it helped the team win. He love's it here, but everyone wants to get rid of him for a guy that would never sign here without Lebron.

I am glad Lebron is back, but sad that the "win now" short sighted moves are back. We are going to end up just like Miami if we head down this path.

Getting a 25 year old Kevin Love, who will extend here long-term is a short-sighted move?

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!!!!!

Dieng and Love for Bennett and Wiggins is as fair as fair gets.

And for the love of God, HE'S NOT EVEN HURT ALL THAT OFTEN!!!!

I want Waiters to be on the team come next season but fully understand he is our most tradable asset. I love the man's grit, his passion and ability to make the smart basketball play. I think many fans have missed the boat on him due to some of the BS he's been attached with so far in his career. LeBron name dropped him for a reason. Some of his clear cut talent was displayed during the sophomore game.

This is rambling.

Kevin Love is 25. THat's a move for the present and future.

I love how ending up like Miami is supposed to scare me or something. THAT'S A GOOD THING! I want to be like Miami and win all the damn time.

It's going to be a joy on opening night watching some of the reactions if this trade goes down , when you are forced to realize "Oh wait, Kevin Love is WAAYYY better than Dion Waiters. What was I thinking?"

That trade will never catch on bro lol. No one wants to give up Wiggins. And the FO has already said he's off limits, thank God.

Dion has only vocomplained one time about coming off the bench and that was his freshman year in syracuse.

he handled geting benched by Brown even though it was the wrong move by brown and Dion saw that and he did his thing off the bench with Scott as well.

his ego is he is an NBA starter and rightfully so but he has been a team guy all the way. actions speak louder than words .

peopl to focused on the future and not the present.

I dont see his role best off the bench. I think he comes out with an attitude and intesnity you want to have in your starters.

if he does goto the 6th man and cleveland doesnt pay him starter money youe better believe he will be ready to go one of the teams that will make the right call. none of thats happened yet so its neither here nor there.

So much hyperbole in this post. Even when he was "straight ballin", as you say, he wasn't dominating. To most people, we'd call that a "hot streak". And he'd mix that in with cold streaks...sometimes even within the same game! I don't get why you single Dion out and give him special treatment over other players.

We just want what's best for this team going forward. They're just differing opinions.

He's complaining about the possibility right now, on twitter. That no vocal enough?

So you're telling me that there is just no chance Andrew Wiggins is better right away? Or even if he is Dion should still start because if he doesn't he'll sulk?

I watched every damn game this last four years--all of them.

And you know what? I'm a CAVS fan. Not a Dion fan, not a LeBron fan, but a CAVS fan.

You can be a Dion fanboy all you want, but don't pretend that doing so makes you a better fan. That's horse shit.
