2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The people who don't think Bledsoe is worth the max...is that because of his injury history?

It's the only reason I can think of the dude is a baller...when he plays

If we can get this guy at the vet minimum, I'd be down with that.

If we needed another combo guard I would definitely take a waiver on this guy... Buttttt, we don't :/

6.8 rebounds/36 minutes for his career. Career shooting percentage 42.8%. Last year his numbers were even worse.

Which currently available center would you prefer at the veteran's minimum? The pickings are pretty slim.

Come on. That can't possibly be true. Remember this?

Well we are still interested in Allen so I suppose Marion would take his slot. Might provide more to this team anyway since we already have shooters.

Marion and lebron would be interchangeable at the 3 and 4. That would fit Blatts system nicely.

Here are some guys I'd prefer over Udoh:

Elton Brand
Gustavo Ayon
Greg Stiemsma
Jermaine O'Neal
Emeka Okafor

There are issues with each of them, of course, which I have detailed here:

I think I'd rather give Cooley a training camp invite with some guaranteed money than sign Udoh. I think you might be able to get Stiemsma on a partially guaranteed minimum contract too.

The other guy I'd be interested in, and he may or may not be available, is Gorgui Dieng.

Shav Randolph
Not really rim protector but had a decent showing with Boston a couple be of seasons ago. He would cheap and think he's likely in Asia or Europe. But he hustles.

Ryan Kelly UFA not sure how much money he would want and also not a rim protector.

Are you purposely talking about signing players who are already under contract?

He's been a starter less than one full season...not exactly who you give a max contract to.

When he plays, he's a very good point guard. Chris Paul? John Wall? Kyrie Irving? Not even close. Those are max contract point guards, and the latter two even were met with a bit of skepticism when it came time to decide on offering them the max.

Bledsoe? You kidding me?
