If we sign Allen, hope he will be fine this year. However its not being in great shape that is the issue, its reflexes( or rather reaction time). Your mind knows what to do but your body just doesn't react. If you heard Sir Charles or Grant Hill discuss when they knew it was time to call it a career, sounded like it came as a surprise to both.

IF Allen retires or signs elsewhere, what is plan b? CB?
 
Not to mention, Ray doesn't like Cleveland and doesn't exactly want to be here. If LeBron had decided to play for any other team, Ray would have joined up a long time ago.

Exactly why my sentiments are scathing for the arrogant prick. But I also forget some are simply CAVS fans for what ever reason and they wouldn't get the City pride thing.
 
Am I the only guy that sees Allen as unnecessary? Sure he could be a helpful piece, but I don't think he's a critical piece for a championship.
Personally I believe Dion could become a star this season, and Delly will be the bulldog the team needs.
If Allen signs fine, but if he doesn't, I won't lose any sleep.
 
I think Mike Miller is better than Ray Allen at this point so I wouldn't be upset if we missed out on Ray

Allen doesn't seem to want to spend time away from his kids or uproot his family from Miami. I don't think it's a 'Cleveland thing.' It certainly wasn't that way for Miller or Marion.

Not really Cavs related anymore, but Alonzo Gee was traded to the Kings from the Rockets in a deal for Jason Terry.

Gee was linked to the Hornets in the Haywood deal, but then ended up going to New Orleans.

Then he went to Houston and now Sacramento.

Pretty funny.
 
Ray would love the golf courses in the Cleveland area.

That's a fact.

He's a big time golfer.

Cleveland is still refered to the mistake by or on the lake depending on how ignorant the cliche users are.

You are either not from Cleveland or need to get our more.

Not sure what you mean regarding take a hike but I kick it with these fools at private parties I have heard this clown diss Cleveland back in 2005 so this current propaganda means nada to me. I would never play for Cleveland was the words used and it wasn't just him I don't want to single him out. This isn't and uncommon thing either.

Houston is one of the quiet "creep and sleep" spots for players.

You do understand that that's for tv right...

What does that have to with anything being discussed? Especially if you consider Allen hasn't said anything negative about Cleveland in the past. Unless, you can show me where he actually has? I would love to know.

I'm from NE Ohio and currently reside there. Cleveland is a great place, most negativity about Cleveland comes from people who've never been there.

Will he say differently if it wasn't on TV? That his family isn't his first priority in life, career is. I'm not sure you can decipher when he isn't being genuine or not.
