2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What does that have to with anything being discussed? Especially if you consider Allen hasn't said anything negative about Cleveland in the past. Unless, you can show me where he actually has? I would love to know.

I'm from NE Ohio and currently reside there. Cleveland is a great place, most negativity about Cleveland comes from people who've never been there.

Dude, you might want to reconsider who you hang out with?

Where is the substance in this post? I would love to know if Ray doesn't like Cleveland, but there's no evidence being posted on that.

Will he say differently if it wasn't on TV? That his family isn't his first priority in life, not his career. I'm not sure you can decipher when he isn't being genuine or not.

Why would I reconsider hanging out with the NBA players at parties. I enjoy being social as most of them do also.

What aren't you getting plenty of players, people, politicians, actors, present one thing and I see them with known groupies all up on them while they are married. I could go on and on.

You see the game from through the lens perspective which is fine but don't tell those who see other sides to take a hike. Your in a fish bowl stick to what u know. I socialize in the same circles with a lot of players down here I see the wtf some are doing in the "private parties". Hung out with a few of these married guys girlfriends. Smashed a few of the attractive ones. Your like a basket ball wife who only thinks their the only one with your summations. You don't even have a remote perspective on this. But your entitled which is ok just don't be dismissive simply because you have an incomplete understanding on how people view Cleveland.

That what needs to take a hike.

So my post has no substance yet you lack zero perspective to speak on this what so ever other than your belief on what you see on TV (Pot calling kettle black). Those who do know how players are and are aware of their hide away and play spots surely can speak on it to contradict me but they won't.

Everything you see on TV is not real FYI lol.

BTW Shaker Hts & East Cleveland born and raised I am a fan by blood.

Enlighten me.

Since you didn't address anything I said.

Would Allen say differently if he wasn't on TV? What you're saying is his family isn't his first priority in life and that he lied. :chuckle:

I'm sorry that you haven't proven anything you've said thus far. How do we know he is or isn't a part of a crowd of Cleveland bashers that you apparently hang around with?

Neither have you your not even from Cleveland so for one thing you have an outside perspective.

I don't care about the piece but you base your counter argument regarding him liking or not liking Cleveland on the video which is asinine. All men should care about their family big deal it has zero to do with his perspective on Cleveland.

Proving? Dude your some guy from north east ohio wtf.

I don't bare the burden of proof I am sharing my experiences as a Clevelander living elsewhere TIFWIW or don't. By proving you mean if i posted picks of people in the parties with groupies or recording conversations...nuff said your from north east Ohio.

Other than not your hiding behind a weak premise and acting like you have some viable platform of argument what's substantial enough to counter my claims. I am not the only person here who has stated Ray has been disrespectful to Cleveland. I like them don't care to educate you on past history find out for yourself.

Well let's be real, this is their job and a place where their families will have to live as well. I'm pretty sure people make decisions to not take a job because of their thoughts on the city it's in all the time. It's not like nobody shares the same opinion as you say Ray has. The guy is almost 40, averaged 27 minutes a game last year, and can still shoot the cover off the ball. Sure his job seems redundant on this team, but remember that Mickey Arison amnestied Mike Miller from the Heat for those very same reasons and they were never the same. You can always use another shooter. He would only average 10-15 minutes a night on this team, which means 5-7 minutes a half. Is he so bad that we are just going to get destroyed defensively when he's out there? No.

By the way, it's not his fault you are getting annoyed with whether he is coming back or not. Reporters just keep asking his camp and his camp keeps telling them he hasn't decided yet. He already said he'd wait until September to see how he feels. Why is that a bad thing? It's not like he's missing any camp. By the way, Jordan waited until October of 1993 to announce his first retirement, the week of training camp. Sometimes a player just needs to wait until basketball is about ready to start and see if they still have the itch to play. There's no rush for him to sign, there's still a month until camp.

You're kidding? The Cavs have fans around the world, I'm only a few miles away from the city.

My argument is that it doesn't have to do with the city, it's family related. The video I linked shows his values are at home, not on the court.

So in other words you're not going back up anything you've said.

An article, interview, something that proves your claim that Ray doesn't want to be in Cleveland.

Something is better than nothing. Stating people you've known don't like Cleveland which means Allen won't like Cleveland, isn't educating anyone.

I am not annoyed you sure are wee bit presumptuous lol now on to the important part.

All of the positives are absolutely true to assume those who don't agree with adding Satanic Shuttlesworth is myopic. His redundancy and defensive weaknesses are also equally relevant. I just have interacted with the dude, remember past games vs us, and think the one dimensional benefit of his present game are unnecessary. Don't want him JMHO just deal with it :).

You don't have to be butt hurt over it ya know... that's why this board is awesome the amalgamation of views. I don't judge peoples views on wanting a player I judge the players themselves and what they can do for us. You are entitled to want to target those who don't agree with you on the player based on what ever emotional metrics you choose.

Dion will be starting MIller can't beat him out Ray also can't beat him out. So ultimately it is a Miller vs Ray debate or as I would love to see some of our young guys like Harris compete for some PT for development.

I could care less about him waiting till TC before declaring as long as it isn't with us that is all. It would sure be sweet to beat him on SA's team though. Id love that even more than not signing him.

RIF man I said I heard him and some other players as I said to one unnamed sign with Cleveland we need you. That sparked the I would never play for Cleveland crap which he and a few other chimed in on. You can take it as hearsay which is fine still happened though.

The Cavs have been interested in Allen his entire career. At no point has he ever wanted to come here.

I remember him re-signing in Seattle for more money than we had to offer back when LeBron wouldn't recruit for us. Besides that, when has he spurned our advances?

I went into this offseason with one goal, and goal only: to acquire a rim-protector. And I will not consider this offseason a success unless we acquire one. Everything else is window-dressing.

LeBron was here before too.

So was Mo Williams and Delonte West. Replace that with Waiters and Irving, Add a little Love and who cares who cares who scrubbed the tables of the Q. This is going to be a action packed year.

@ESPNSteinLine

Sacramento, I'm told, waived Wayne Ellington on Sunday, which was last day teams could apply waive-and-stretch provision to coming season

if Ray Allen decides to sign with the Spurs or Clippers i wouldn't mind bringing in Ellington to fill out the roster.
