Okay, the throwing around of second round picks is starting to get ridiculous now 
But what was the point of turning that into an exception? I'm guessing partly to open another roster spot. But does it give us more flexibility elsewhere as well? What are the other advantages.

I dont get it. We cant even combine it with Haywood now, plus we're sending out 2nd rounders like its candy....

I'm assuming the 2nd is one of the SAC ones (which will never be conveyed)
Looks like we weren't willing to pay the salary for a useless player just for extra flexibility. Pity.
Still, the TPE will be available for Mozgov or any other MLE-ish salary for both the deadline and next summer, so it's not a complete loss. And I'm not the one who has to pay $5m for a useless player, and if Gilbert said he wouldn't do it then we didn't have many options.
