Boston is in my top three with the Cavs and Knicks. If you like the national broadcasters, you're odd. They're dumb.
Mike Breen, Marv Albert, Kevin Harlan are dumb? Mike Breen in particular is phenomenal.
Sure, guys like Jon Barry and Reggie Miller are godawful, but for the most part I much prefer TNT or even ESPN crews over Fred/AC. I just can't stand the cheerleading over mundane plays, the homerism, and the intermittent incoherence from AC, as lovable as he is.
Fred is knowledgeable and generally good at calling a game, but they are essentially cheer leaders. Even as a fan of the team it's really hard to listen to sometimes. Given the choice I'll always listen to the national/away broadcast, unless it's as bad or worse (Boston comes to mind).
I'm smart. I don't need to be told what is happening constantly.Wait, you like Boston as well? They are even worse. As someone said already, they are basically cheerleaders. I don't want that in basketball. I want the X's and O's broken down. I want to see the game plan. That's the most important thing of a broadcast.
That's pretty much the only lucky part of being a Wolves fan. We have a top 3 broadcast.
I seriously want to know how you guys watch games listening to Austin Carr and Fred McLeod?
Cuz they're awesome?
I've got League Pass and watch it A LOT. They're about as good as you're going to find. It's entertainment. The majority of local announcers are so boring.
