JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JR>>>>>>>>>>>>Dion

So glad that piece of shit is off our team. "Upside" lol -- that's all he ever had was some invisible "future" potential. In reality, he was just a mediocre 2 with poor shot selection who got hot once in a while. At least JR admits what he is, and plays his role. Dion is a worse version of JR, who thinks he can be a superstar.

Jesus.

Currently, JR is better than Dion and as well as the role Dion was meant to play. In terms of potential, Dion obviously has an upside and if he can work on his flaws, will be a very good player but considering how well JR has been and the additional pieces that came along with him in Shumpert and Mozgov, it has been a massiev upgrade.

Hopefully Iman comes back soon so that Smith can do what he does best as the sixth man. The starting backcourt of two chuckers(Kyrie and Smith) who play average defense is not what the Cavs need right now.

He has been paying OK, but you guys see he is another defensive hole in the roster, right?

And that's all it is. Dion would have been cool if he knew his role on the team. You could potentially say the same thing about Kyrie w/regards to Playmaking, but at least Kyrie shows that he can be an elite scorer. Dion didn't really show anything close to what JR does on a good day. He was redundant. Hopefully when Shump comes back he can really thrive. The Cavs need bench scoring.

Yeah, but we knew that going in. He was the price we paid to get Shumpert basically for free from the Knicks, and Shumpert has the potential to be a solid defender at the two when he comes back.

JR has definitely been better so far than Dion, and has already had 2 games out of 4 where he's scored more than waiters did all year.

I'll tell you one thing that's obvious.

At least in the short term, JR Smith is a huge upgrade over Waiters.

Put me in that camp.

Yes, he takes ill advised 3's at times, but this guy can shoot. So you have to live with that.

Still an upgrade over Waiters IMO.

The funny thing it that he doesnt take ill advised three's, he takes ill advised pull up two's. I can live with 38% from 3, its the 41% overall that needs to improve.

That said, he is a huge upgrade over Dion and i have been pleasantly surprised with his attitude and success so far.

Regarding JR, I am assuming that Blatt and/or Lebron told him not to hold back. Shoot it. It's what he does.

And the team can use an athletic guy who spreads the floor. They have a few UNathletic guys who spread the floor. We got that covered.

I can't believe JR Smith is probably my favorite player on this team. Sort of kidding.... but sort of not.
